December Daily® 2025 | Ali’s Story 14

Welcome to Story 14 in my 2025 December Daily® project.
One of the ideas I had earlier this year was to do a story that included photos of the kids when they were younger paired with a photo of them from this year. I invited them to share a photo with me and I used the metal die we offered this year to create the shapes for all photos and then used my sewing machine to "quilt" them together.
Let's dive in to the process video:
Here are additional images:

Ah, time. I cropped and printed all my photos to 2.75 inches x 2.5 inches before running them and the metal die through my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.

I printed the past photos in color and the today photos in black and white. On top of the black and white photos I added a puffy star from the Sticker Advent Calendar and used the red puffy numbers for their current ages.
On one of the die cut labels I added a "20" and a "25" from a previous year's collection along with a chipboard phrase.

The first page of this spread is the back of Story 13. I added pattern paper and then layered the puffy Santa from the Sticker Advent Calendar behind one of the plastic snow globes (stapled the snow globe to the Santa). On top I added a mini die cut label and numbers from the red puffy number set.

This could have also been a great intro page into the album this year. Don't forget that stories without a bunch of words are also wonderful stories to tell.

HI Ali! So cute! Question for you regarding the die cut tiles that were used for this ... I purchased them and cannot for the life of me get the metal connectors off completely. So in result it is puncturing tiny holes in the pic or paper I am cutting. I have tried filing them and it doesn't work either. Anyone have issues with this or a work around? thank you :)
