Week In The Life™ 2026 | Sunday

Thank you for joining me for another community documenting week for Week In The LIfe™ and thank you for your patience as things looked and felt a little different this year.
When I get to this point in the week (the last day) I'm usually pretty tired and ready to be done. This year I feel a mixture of things, including feeling excitement for the making part of this project. I'm really curious to see how I bring my story all together in my album based on my week and the photos I took along the way.
My hope is that over the last week you captured some pieces of your life maybe you haven't previously, or you were able to see parts with fresh eyes

Aaron's coffee that we all had a good laugh about.

Aaron made me some egg bites for breakfast.

Betty is loving that I've been in my car more recently. She used to love riding when I was still driving the girls around and now she's getting to know the words "Want to go see Grandma?"

Picked up a mocha for Mom + a pup cup for Betty on our way back to the house. The kids were just getting ready to head to the river because it was 80 degrees.

Mom wanted to do some ironing to set up a new cross stitch project.

And then we headed outside. Today she potted up a couple plants for the front porch.

I started harvesting snap peas.

Yay yellow!

Elliott, Audrey, Anna and a group of friends headed up to a cool spot around Fall Creek for the day. Loved getting a few photos from their adventures.

Picking a few peonies to take back to her place.

And then I took a long hot bath and had some wine.

I didn't take very many photos today (which tracks for me generally with this project) and may end up taking a few more shots around the house to capture a little bit more of the scene.
Next steps for me will be diving into the photos and starting to flow them into my album. I'll share again once I get started on that process.

Thank you for sharing your week with us. It was so sweet seeing your mom in it, she is creative like you.
I had a good week of photos and took some new ones. One of my daughters asked me to print it out for her. It’s me in my chair writing. I realized that’s a big memory for my kids. My husband is retired now and even got into it. There was sadness along with the joys as always. Thankful every time for this project!! Thank you for that 💛💛

Thank you for sharing your week and life with us, I so love seeing how you capture your days even though it is hard sometimes. Sending you lots of love for this season. Thanks for reminding me there is light too.
I have had a different and hard week myself, I did shoot some photos and hope to gather them up no matter how few words I have at the moment.

This is exactly why I love Week In The Life projects. Nothing huge or dramatic has to happen for a week to be meaningful. A good cup of coffee, breakfast with family, a happy dog ride, picking peas from the garden, kids exploring outdoors, and ending the day with a hot bath and a glass of wine — that's real life, and honestly, those are often the moments we remember most.
I especially smiled at Betty getting excited for car rides. Dogs somehow manage to turn the simplest things into major life events. 😄
The photos and little details throughout the week create such a complete picture of everyday life. Years from now, things like the weather, the peonies, the cross-stitch project, or even Aaron's coffee will probably bring back memories that would have otherwise been forgotten.
That's one reason I enjoy reading personal stories and travel journals on https://rvhappyhour.com/. It's amazing how ordinary moments can become the most meaningful memories when someone takes the time to document them.
Looking forward to seeing how the album comes together. These kinds of projects always end up being worth the effort.
