Four workshops are included in this event:

1. Journaling Workshop // This interactive, lecture-based workshop will encourage you to think about your current methods of storytelling to find + embrace what are the best styles for you at this time in your life. Ali will share her lessons learned from years of memory keeping/storytelling adventures and help you create a story road map focusing on what you most want/need to tell right now.

2. Design Workshop // Focus will be on basic design fundamentals and ideas for building story-focused traditional layouts and Project Life® spreads. Ali will walk you through her basic design process from blank page to completed story and will share the concepts she relies on most when getting her stories told. During the workshop you will create two traditional layouts.. You will leave this workshop with specific ideas on how to bring your words + photos together with a solid design foundation.

3. Story Book Workshop // Your story matters and is worth telling. This workshop will help you start (or build on) an album to hold stories about you. Emphasis in this workshop centers around building + planning albums and creating story-focused layouts that tell your story using intentional memory keeping products + design. You will leave this workshop with a few completed layouts that will be the beginnings of an album (or add to one you might have already started) that focuses on you and the life you have lived and are living.

4. Photography Workshop // A lecture-based workshop focusing on how the way we look through the camera/lens informs the stories we tell. Workshop will include a photo-taking opportunity (such as a photo walk).  This workshop isn't camera specific and will be more in alignment with the content found in my Lens Of Joy workshop

The purchase of this event will be final sale. No refunds will be given. If you accidentally purchase two spots, you are responsible for selling the extra spot.  Event attendee’s spots are transferrable and you are able to sell your spot in the event that you are unable to attend the event. Please contact Katie at katie@aliedwards.com to arrange the transfer of your spot. Transfers must be arranged by April 30th.  No refunds will be given due to travel or inclement weather issues.

Due to the limited number of spaces available for this event, if you are wishing to attend this event with friends we suggest one person purchase multiple spots during the checkout process to ensure availability and arrange payment from your friends at a later time. We are expecting a high volume of customers on the website at the time that registration opens, so one person purchasing multiple spots will be a much easier route to take rather than several people trying to purchase at the same time and potentially missing out if the event sells out.

Please make sure your email is up to date under your account settings (under the My Account section - click on your user name in the top right corner) as this will be our main form of contact with attendees.

Our host hotel is one of our favorite local venues : Inn At The 5th. We chose this location for its walkability to several of our most loved places to visit in Eugene. You will be in walkable distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and several great small boutiques for shopping.

We have secured a number of discounted rooms at  Inn At The 5th for those who wish to stay on the event premises. Inn At The 5th has provided us with a great rate of $209 per night for a Single King Room (plus taxes), $219 a night for a Double Queen (plus taxes). Reserving your room as soon as possible will better your chances of availability. Reservations must be made by phone to receive the group rate discount at (541) 743-4099. Please mention “Ali Edwards Group Rate” when making your reservation.

If lodging at Inn At The 5th is unavailable when you register or you prefer to explore other options please contact Katie at katie@aliedwards.com for other lodging suggestions.

Eugene, Oregon is home to a small, convenient  airport (EUG). If staying at Inn At The 5th, you will be provided with free airport transportation to and from the airport. Please contact the hotel to arrange your shuttle transfer prior to your arrival, spots must be reserved in advance.

Eugene is located 2.5 hrs south of the Portland, Oregon airport (PDX) and is a good option if you would like to rent a car and drive. If arriving the day of the event, we suggest leaving the Portland Airport by 1pm to miss city traffic and arrive in Eugene in time to get settled, eat dinner, and arrive on time for the event check in/welcome session (6:30-8pm).

Click here to request a Visitor's Guide for Eugene and the surrounding areas. We are located about an hour from the Pacific Ocean and an hour from the mountains which means there are a ton of outdoor things to see and do if you want to extend your stay.
