The Death of a Monitor.
Tags:Last night, as I was happily working away preparing for an upcoming class at CKU, my computer monitor potentially took it's last breath. It clicked and fuzzed and snapped and crackled and then nothing. CRAP. My biggest pet peeve, the thing that seems to put me over the edge of rationality, is computer problems. HATE THEM.
So right now I am coming to you on my laptop - my little savior. Tomorrow I will lug my big ole monitor down to the Mac Store to see if it is really dead...and then go from there. If it is dead it means I will need to lay down some cash for a new one...and as an Apple girl that means about $600 for a 17 inch monitor. Sweet.
And of course, I was working on something that I had not saved (you would think I would have learned that one by now) so I will be in recreate mode this morning. At least I have already loaded my programs onto my laptop so it is not too bad. Sigh, the life of a computer girl.

Ali---So sorry to hear about your monitor...that really sucks! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is salvageable. :-) Monitors can be so spendy! Good luck tomorrow. Loved hearing about Simon's conversation with you the other day...that is so awesome and I'm really happy for you both. Take care!

Ali, Sorry to hear about your Mac. For anyone who needs to be *connected* disruption is not fun. On the other hand, working on the laptop always gives me a freedom that I don't have on my desktop - the ability to change location and to get the creative juices flowing. Hopefully, your temporary change will have some positive stuff in there for you. Good luck tomorrow at the Apple store. ($600 eek.)

Best of luck with the monitor. I am a computer girl too, (stay at home animator) and I sometimes wonder when my monitor, ol' Bessy is going to fizz out for good.
Treat yourself to something good, like the Titanium!
