Gotta love...
Tags:• finally having the concept brainstorm I needed for an upcoming class project. I tend to be of the "just-wait-and-it-will-come-to-me" school of inspiration on bigger projects. I think and ponder and write stuff out and then wait...and just hope for the best that my mind will bring me something good. I think this is a winner.
• when Simon's teacher reports that he asked her to zip up his coat for recess
• McDonald's for breakfast after Simon's speech appointment
• new JCrew & Pottery Barn catalogs & a credit card bill to remind me where I stand financially LOL
• Talking with my sister-in-law Liz yesterday
• Taking Simon swimming at a pool that is kept nice and warm at 92 degrees
• That we are taking Simon to see The Wiggles on Saturday night in Portland
And gotta not really love so much...
• Chris buying all kinds of bushes and shrubs for the house even though we are selling it. I just wish he would get this excited when we plan to stay longer - or maybe get this excited in our next house. The idea is that it will help the selling price to have a landscaped yard.
• All the dishes on the counters and in the sink right now.
• Cleaning for our first Open House this weekend.

I understand your sentiments about Chris and his excitement regarding landscaping the house when you're getting ready to sell it. The *fire* didn't ignite under Rob until after he found out that he was accepted to graduate school and had to get the house ready to list by mid-May (which we actually won't have to do because we already have an offer). Things I'd wanted to do are finally being done, and I'll only be here a few more months to enjoy the fruits of our labor. At least I have a house, right? :)
Good luck with your open house this weekend!

Ali, I just love your lists...spoken from a fellow list maker! That is so cool about Simon, seems like his vocabulary is just growing by leaps and bounds every day...way to go Simon! Hope you guys have fun in Portland this weekend and enjoy the Wiggles show! How fun! Don't sweat the moving thing, you will find something that is even more perfect than where you are right now...everything happens for a reason, you just have to wait sometimes to see what it is. Good luck with your open house...wish it was in CA...we'd scoop it up from ya! Your house always looks amazing in your photos!

Ah.. ever watch that show "Designed to Sell" on HGTV? I didn't "get" it at first, why these people would make their houses so nice to live in, and then NOT want to live in them.. but it does make the price go up and that's always nice, isn't it?

I totally agree about the "wait and see" method of inspiration - that's how I like to operate, too! So sorry to hear that you have to sell your house, by the way!

Simon is going to love the Wiggles!!! We saw them on Tuesday(Sacramento) and I have to tell you that I had so much fun. They are a riot!! Especially Captain Feathersword (whatever, and I'm really not a fan LOL). My Nyna was able to shake one of the Wiggles hands. So cute!!! Have Fun :)
