Fonts.
Tags:The Creating Garden theme on Two Peas this month is fonts. Something near and dear to me. Love those letter forms. Love words. Love layering and maniplating and playing. I also love the convergence of traditional and digital scrapbooking. What a wonderful marriage. That I could create the above collage in Photoshop, print it out, and attach it to a page which resulted in this layout:
Some other pages that tickled my fancy this month:
So many cool pages this month. Love seeing how the other girls play with type. It is easy to get bound up or in a rut when using fonts. Or feel intimidated with ALL the choices out there. I have tons of fonts loaded on my computer. I find myself reaching for many of the same ones over and over. The just do it for me: Garamond, Baskerville, Myriad, 2Peas Hot Chocolate, Jack Frost, AL Modern Type(love most of those Autumn Leaves Typewriter fonts).
One of the great things is that products abound featuring fonts. Rub ons, stickers, patterned paper, metal embellishments - all these can be layered and matched up to create some of the same effects as in Photoshop. I think the key is allowing youself to play. To experiment. And not being afraid that you will "mess up." Remember, this is all about creating & having fun right?

Ali awesome LO! Truly an inspiration..
question...how did you create the soft translucent block sections at the bottom (looks like theres two)?. You also did something like that in your book with font. Is it a selected color? Or some kind of software...it looks like vellum.

Beautiful page! I do graphic design as well and am finally realizing that it's ok to use my skills on my scrapbook pages... LOL! You can still be a traditional scrapper AND a digital scrapper at the *same* time! :-)

Ah, Ali...I am constantly amazed at the creativity that you possess! I can seriously sit and admire at your work for hours...always something to inspire me. I am loving the digi/traditional combos lately - a great way to mix the technology of scrapping with good ol' fashioned paste and paper! You rock, Miss A!
