The Sweetest Thing.

Waterfall_1 Home again.

Home from a wonderfully relaxing four days in Sunriver, Oregon with Chris' parents. The bulk of our day was riding our bikes to the pool for a couple hours, reading, going back to the house to take a nap, then dinner and a movie or more reading. Nice. Happy.

On the drive home yesterday we stopped at Sahalie Falls and took a nice mini-hike. The air was so fresh and crisp and a nice break from the heat. Simon loved it.

Now I am back, definitely a little more tanned, and suffering from post-vacation BLAH. I think I lose my sense of place too easy - like where am I in the middle of all the papers and to-do lists? I hate when I get to the point that I need a to-do list for all the other lists. C'est la vie.

I can so relate to this post! I just got home from a long weekend in Chicago... I didn't want to come home to all the lists, to-dos, unpacking, etc.

Sunriver is SO relaxing... Glad you had a nice time! That pix of you and Simon is great! I've been reading your blog and discovered you're coming to the Scrapyard in November! Let me just say: WAHOOOO!!! Can't wait to meet you! I emailed you several times a few years ago about graphic design schooling and that was when you had JUST joined 2Peas...look at you now, girl!!! Blessings abound!

Welcome back, Ali! Glad to hear you had such a relaxing vacation. Getting back into the swing of things is so hard after you've been away. Take a day to just breathe and find your balance again...you'll get back into the groove before you know it!
Love the photo....a hike sounds so wonderful right now! Take care....

Glad you had a relaxing vacation! Never have been to Sunriver, but have heard it's fabulous. Love, love, LOVE Sahalie Falls though. We took some pictures there this last winter. David loved running around in the snow, Sydney (our golden retriever) enjoyed everything about our hike, etc., and we just had an all-around wonderful time!
    Have a terrific week!

Sunriver is soo fun. I bet you guys did have a great time. Did you get a chance to float the river at all? Glad that you had a fun time. That picture is amazing...You need to tell Chris that he needs to teach other DH's how to take good pics. You would never even know that Zoe had a mom at the amount of pics there are of her and I. ;) So its cool that you have someone to take pics of you and for you. Glad you had a great time.

What a great picture - I recognized Sahalie Falls immediately as it's a frequent stop on our way back from visiting inlaws at Eagle Crest. Glad you had a great vacation :)

What a great photo! I'm glad you had a wonderful time. I find that I lose my sense of space and time when I travel and then it is really hard to get back on track. It will happen.....don't push yourself!

Glad you had a good vacation. I love that drive down the McKenzie. Go that way to the cabin at Lake Billy Chinook. Sahalie Falls is a favorite place to stop and enjoy the greenery and the waterfalls.
