A different kind of life.
Tags:Here is me and my Mama (LOVE HER) prepping class kits for this weekend in Vancouver, BC. Could seriously not get it done without her help. She is a super-trooper.
When I came home from Hawaii I had all kinds of mail to go through. One of the things that came was a book from my sister. It is called Be (this link takes you to their catalog) from Compendium Publishing. Besides the fact that I love single word titles, the content in this coffee table book of quotes is awesome. All about life. The opening parargraph from the guy who compiled the quotes says, "Life is here and it is now...either we meet it, we live it or we miss it."
Most of the quotes were new to me, gotta love finding new quotes to inspire me out of my post-vacation freak-out. Here is one of my favorites:
This is one of the main truths of my life. The day I started scrapbooking, my life changed. In a million and one different ways it has changed. It opened the door for me to be me. To express myself in a way that is just so darn cool. That I just love so darn much.
So even when I am complaining about being crazy busy, in the end, I am still doing what I want to do right now. Did I know, three years ago, that this was what I wanted for my life? Not exactly, but I knew I wanted more for my life. That there was more. That change is ok. And it is all good.

Love all of their books...my background being graphic design book publishing...I was drawn to their simple design approach.
Check out their book titled "SHE". I bought it and the book 'BE' for many of my favorite mom/friends this last May.
enjoy!

How lucky you are to know that all you really needed was an open mind...

Dude, I know exactally what you are saying...It is so important that in these times we stop, look around and say "Holy crap, this is my life! And I love it!" Yeah, we're busy and crazy and kinda freaking out. But this is what we love to do! And it's happening. This is it. Right now.
"Life moves pretty quick. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it"...one of my all time faves, from the man...Mr. Ferris Bueller

Oh how nice of your mother to be helping you.
My mom is the same way.
She is hurting right now and I sensed it in her voice...we are going through a tough time with a member of our family as he was in an accident and broke his C1 vertebrae. So I will make sure to call her tonight...wonder if you can order pizza and have it delivered in another city. How cool would that be when she gets home tonight....? Might have to try it...delivery from me.
Looking so forward to hanging on Saturday. The store is a flurry and folks are so pumped to have you come this way.....I am ready for some laughs....and some serious inspiration.
