Telling your holiday story.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and prayers from the last post. Simon is continuing to do well - his behavior around here is pretty grumpy which seems completely appropriate considering all the change. Grunpy, but happy if that makes any sense.

I signed up yesterday to participate in another cool onilne class with Shimelle. You can read about it here: Journal Your Christmas. I love this idea. Doing something creative each day of the holiday season (from December 1 through January 6) as a way to be present, to be celebrating it as it happens, to have a way to document and focus on the days we experience during this season.

You may just want to join.

This sounds really cool. Especially since I was just thinking today- wow it's November 30. That means that this season I've been looking forward to for months is here. It will go by so fast and I need to savor it. This could be just what I was looking for! Thanks so much for sharing this link.

I so agree with Donna's post...I read the Jan. CK last night and couldn't wait to get refocused and going!!! Then, this today...it was a sign! I signed up for the short art journal course....because I've never done anything like this, which is so surprising because I'm a professional writer! LOL! Anyway....now I'm really biting my nails and thinking I should ave jumped in with both feet and done the Christmas Journal! Thanks so much for sharing these cool finds!

Got the email the other night and thought hummmmm, maybe.... I loved the art journal class even though I only produced a couple of entries (all of which I love), then your post today. Obviously a sign so I signed up. Still trying to find the Heidi Swapp 9X9 album. If I never find it-oh well, I will be flexible-Right?

That is SUCH a great idea. And I agree w/ what Jackie said about savoring the season... I've been telling myself lately that I need to "sieze life" more than I've been doing. Maybe this is a step forward?

ali- your link to the journal site has an extra "http//" in it...just an FYI. Loving the picture of Simon...getting the holding your breath thing. Hated this year when my 12 year old daughters photo was less than TOTALLY adorable, and she knew it...Luckily I had MY 7th grade photo nearby...needless to say, LOTS of squeals of mirth later, she decided hers wasn't "so bad"... As always, S will be in my prayers tonight, as he always is with my nephew Jono. (Ausberger's) Happy Holidays.

Thanks for telling us about the class. I signed up this evening, and I'm looking forward to it. Work has been so busy, and I need an artistic/creative outlet to immerse myself in.

I would join, but I am still working on my art journal, HA!! I don't think that this is a good time for me right now...I am going back to work tomorrow and holidays are so busy...but I will keep an eye out on other classes that she may have available in the future....

Hey Ali - thanks for the kick in the pants :D Signed up this morning!
The Dude looks so cute in his school picture - Change is hard for us but really tough for kids - 'cuz they don't have any control over the decision making process.
I also LOVED the new Studio {A} article in January's CK. Very inspiring. Trying to get my DH & the boys to do theirs so I can scrap them :)
