Here's a little sneak peek at my March 2006 Studio A column in Creating Keepsakes - this month it is all about my Scrapbook On The Road concept. And one of the coolest things: my Mom did a Scrapbook On The Road on their hunting trip last fall that became an online extension of the article! You can see her Scrapbook On The Roadhere. Seriously so cool. Go Mom.

The Scrapbook On The Road featured is from my trip to the Netherlands last fall. I am heading that way again on the 19th - totally looking forward to another adventure. Planning to keep another little book - it is cool becuase so much of it is journaling impressions, keeping track of the cool little things that happen along the way, and then I add in my photos when I get home. I think this time I will keep some pages blank (mixing them in from the beginning) so that when I add in my photos they are intermixed with the journaling and the ephemera - rather than all at the end like I did with the first Scrapbook On The Road.

So excited to be heading over to Europe again. Teaching a bunch of classes at Pien's, hanging out with Regina (the totally cool store owner), Nita, Florence, and so many other people that I connected with on my last trip. I am also bringing over a new project for the classes that I am really excited about - can you believe it includes embossing? And cool stamps from Hero Arts, pattern papers from lots of my favorite companies, and tags, and ribbon and lots of other yummy stuff.

I love mini-books. I am all over them these days.

Today I am working on some of my CK projects. Doing some handwriting for my next book (coming out in the summer: A Designer's Eye for Scrapbooking with Patterned Paper). Working on my column for June. Finishing up packing for the classes this weekend in Virgina. Working on another special project.

And I am going to take some photos of Chris today - photos that he can use on his political pieces. We have never really done a little shoot like this together - looking forward to it. Love him.

Back to work!
