Weekends.
Tags:I keep a pretty crazy schedule.
Weekends don't really mean break time for me. Most weekends I am teaching. If I am not teaching I am probably working: either getting ready to teach, scrapbooking, writing articles, doing accounting type work, returning emails, cleaning up my studio (or most likely creating new piles), planning, etc.
I find it hard to separate work and life. In so many ways that is really cool - I love what I do. And in so many ways it is so not cool. I am still obsessed.
Yesterday, though, was a good-ole Saturday. Simon and I took naps. I read the new issue of Body & Soul. We went grocery shopping, including an adventure to Trader Joes. We lounged. Chris and I watched a movie (Grizzly Man : totally interesting). I ignored the other stuff around here...minus a couple minutes here and there on the computer and looking at my piles and thinking about what I need to do before next weekends classes.
The photo up above is how Chris and I found Simon last night. He had been put to bed...and had gotten up, gone into Chris' office, and found a comfy place on the floor. Love that kid.
A good day.

What a cute photo! I can totally relate about the weekends- so often I am working harder Saturday and Sunday than I do during the week!

SO cute. I love it when the kids dont care where they sleep. Then all of a sudden, they are past that age, and dont want to sleep for fear of missing out on something

Sounds like my idea of a perfect day, with the family! I love it when we allow ourselves the freedom to do whatever sounds good at the moment. (Instead of getting bogged down in "should-do"s, which is my tendency.)
Yep, your Simon is a cute little dude! I wonder what he was thinking, settling down on the floor in Daddy's office?
Thanks for sharing.

I didn't notice him when I first look at the photo, I thought you were showing us your office. I love the green PJ's, is there anything on the front? I think a good frog print or gumby print would be very cute. I hope he slept well.

I can totally relate that it is hard to separate work and family, since scrapbooking is on my mind 24 hours a day, lol.

Hey Ali,
I watched a bit of that movie as well.. amazing.. I think the guy was a bit too much in the wild... tragic. Interesting tv to be sure.
