I keep a pretty crazy schedule.
Weekends don't really mean break time for me. Most weekends I am teaching. If I am not teaching I am probably working: either getting ready to teach, scrapbooking, writing articles, doing accounting type work, returning emails, cleaning up my studio (or most likely creating new piles), planning, etc.
I find it hard to separate work and life. In so many ways that is really cool - I love what I do. And in so many ways it is so not cool. I am still obsessed.
Yesterday, though, was a good-ole Saturday. Simon and I took naps. I read the new issue of Body & Soul. We went grocery shopping, including an adventure to Trader Joes. We lounged. Chris and I watched a movie (Grizzly Man : totally interesting). I ignored the other stuff around here...minus a couple minutes here and there on the computer and looking at my piles and thinking about what I need to do before next weekends classes.
The photo up above is how Chris and I found Simon last night. He had been put to bed...and had gotten up, gone into Chris' office, and found a comfy place on the floor. Love that kid.
A good day.

Gotta love that picture. We had a good 'ole Saturday, too. Every once in a while you just have to do that. Helps keep the sanity intact. :)

Awww... way too cute. Mine usually sneak into MY bed and scare me when I go up to take a shower.
We watched Grizzly Man too. I felt conflicted too, he was definitely out there. So tragic, can't get what the tape must have sounded like out of my mind.

The adventure at our Trader Joe's here in Eugene is dealing with the parking lot, is it not?! LOL! Simon's found his spot there, hasn't he? When Sam (our kid with autism) was that age (or maybe a little older, 4-ish), he used to come into our room in the middle of the night and just stand over my husband's side of the bed, very quietly, until someone noticed him. He never made a sound! Kind of creepy! When we moved to Coos Bay, he finally had his own room, and then we were able to get him to stay in his room since it was a new rule and he was into rules by that time.

I love this! My 4 year old does something similar. He loves to sleep on our couch! He'll wait until we're all in bed and then slip out to sleep in the living room!

How cute is he? I always had to cut the footies off my kids' jammies like that. They didn't like how they felt. Yeah, Grizzly Man was, as they say in my son's K class, very, very interesting. lol Their teacher has them say that when they don't have anything nice to say! :) Let's just say Timothy Treadwell isn't a popular guy here in Alaska.
