Happy Easter.
Tags:We had the best time with my brother, sister-in-law and her family today. Just good, lovely people.
This morning Simon woke up and headed downstairs before coming in our bedroom (which is totally unusual - normally first stop each morning is my side of the bed). Chis and I could hear tromp downstairs to check out what the Easter Bunny had dropped off and then open each of the plastic eggs and dump the contents onto the ottoman. As we peeked downstairs we could see how he had separated them all out into piles: one pile for Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans and one pile for Sweedish Fish.
"Look mama, look,"
That's my boy.
He played with that candy all day long and did not eat a single piece.

That is just
TOO sweet.
I love those pictures, Ali, very nice!! There was a thread the other day on 2Peas talking about context in pictures...people were saying that too many people get ONLY face shots and scrap them with no real background to give you a "beter picture" so to speak...just journaling; "Suzy at Easter Brunch...Suzy at Christmas..."
Anyhow, Long story Long, NICE pics!! Love Simon's outfit!! :)

I love the "look momma look" comments. Arn't their voices the sweetest sound?
I love it when my son says "Momma, I need to tell you something" and it's never anything serious like it sounds. It's just whatever is on his darling little mind.
Thanks for sharing.

The first photo looks like the beginning of a story book. I love the "cottage" feel- what a great house! Seeing Simon in your posts makes me smile- he is such a beautiful, happy child; and that speaks volumes about his parents. :)
Best Easter wishes...

Happy Easter Ali! I love the first photo of Simon! What a handsome young man he is!! And I laughed about Simon and the candy. My kids barely take the wrappers off much less carry it around for a day or two. :-) Peace and blessings.

Adorable photo of Simon in the "Dog House". My twisted eye of course went right to the sign posted next to the door.
Love the candy story. My son is also a liner upper and sorter. But he wastes no time when it comes to eating it.

I love the photo of simon in the door way. Can't wait to see how you scrapbook that one. It should be a Jcrew catalog.
Happy easter

that picture belongs in a magazine. Like if Jcrew did kids clothes, thats what I'd want to see in their ads. :)

How funny is that he did not eat any of the candy. Reminds me of when my oldest used to count the candy over and over again. It was just exciting to have it instead of eating it.
