Happy Easter.
Tags:We had the best time with my brother, sister-in-law and her family today. Just good, lovely people.
This morning Simon woke up and headed downstairs before coming in our bedroom (which is totally unusual - normally first stop each morning is my side of the bed). Chis and I could hear tromp downstairs to check out what the Easter Bunny had dropped off and then open each of the plastic eggs and dump the contents onto the ottoman. As we peeked downstairs we could see how he had separated them all out into piles: one pile for Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans and one pile for Sweedish Fish.
"Look mama, look,"
That's my boy.
He played with that candy all day long and did not eat a single piece.

Love the first picture. Simon is such a "boy"....hands crammed in pockets, shirt tail sneaking out :) I love it when you get them all dressed up and that shirt tail sneaks out. What a joy!

The cottage photo definitely looks like something from Better Homes & Gardens - something I would have much envy for, if I allowed myself to.
My younger son sorts his Skittles my color before eating them - but he eats them immediately upon completion of the sorting. Kinda nice that Simon's 'Easter' will last that much longer.
And he is one handsome little dude.

Love it that Simon is showing some independence. Must make you so proud of him. Isn't is wonderful how children look at the world so amazingly different than we do? We give them toys for Christmas, they play for hours with only the boxes. We give them candy, they play with it and create a game instead of eating it. At least you didn't have to endure a sugar high!! LOL!
BTW - that first photograph is priceless. You really should have that super enlarged & display it as art in itself. Of course, you have to scrap it, too!

Ali - Wonderful to have you guys with us on Easter. Here's a little blurb site about the Bad Dog Inn 'cottage' that Simon found so interesting Sunday. ~ Mike (www.baddoginn.com/)

Ali,
I am so hoping you can answer this question for me. If not, I can check with the staff at my local store (but I like checking in with people who actually USE the stuff first). You mentioned using a digital rebel most of the time. I have the canon rebel eos 2000. love it...but am jonesing for the digital. do you know if the lenses from the regular canon work for the digital canon?
Thanks so much in advance!
Jenn
