Cool.
Tags:Creating Keepsakes and Simple Scrapbooks have a liscensed version of both magazines (a combo issue) produced in Japan. Pretty cool to see stuff I made in there. Since I will be traveling to Japan in October for the first CKU in Japan (they have a website here) - can you believe that - they interviewed me for the June issue. I will be teaching a class on design and the students will be creating a little mini-book about their home. Big time adventure. Seriously amazing opportunity.
Working my way through some emails this morning as I pack up kits for Scraptacular this weekend. So looking forward to heading back there - one of my favorite stores.
Simon and I had a fantastic time at the pool yesterday. I think Chris is going to take him over there today. And we are looking at getting a video camera...that should be cool in and of itself.

Oh man, wait until Simon gets his hands on the video camera; you think your life is well-documented NOW?
It might not be a bad idea to get him his own little camera. I got digi cameras for my boys for Xmas; bought them at ToysRUs for about $60 each. They will record up to 5 min of video as well as still photos. We now have a video of a Connect 4 game, a turtle in his tank, and a fish eating his food. Verrrryyyyy exciting stuff. But I have to say it makes Zeb very happy and who knows? Another Spielberg?
Then you guys can compare your home movies.
And how cool that you're going to Japan. Do they supply a translator, or are the students well-versed in English?

Ditto on the class kits post above. Also, is there a link to the interview in English?
Your site is addictive---as I found last week when I was missing it! Thanks so much for sharing your inspiration!

You HAVE to get a videocamera. My boys and 5 and 8 and when we look back on old videos we see things we had TOTALLY forgotten about. Kind of like when you look through saved journal entries and read something that makes you go, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I had forgotten that. Thank goodness I wrote that down!" You'll think the same thing about how Simon's voice sounded, his mannerisms, etc. It's a must have - honestly.
