Just "fish."
Tags:The two newest residents in our home. No names. Just "fish."
We attended an event last Friday night and the hostess had a cool fish tank with a bunch of little guys swimming inside. Simon was glued to the tank (and his Nemo DVD of course) the entire night. Figured we might as well have a couple here at home.
Chris and I had a fish back in the day when we first started dating. His name? "Speedo." He lasted quite awhile - amazing considering the lack of care he received. Hoping these new fish will be just as sturdy.
Took Simon to the pool again this morning. Can you tell I am totally working this whole "fish" thing? "Swim like the fish" was repeated a few times.
TUESDAY: If you are in/around the Portland, Oregon area tomorrow come by Art House from 6-8pm for "Ali & Apple Pie." Gotta love that - a book signing with PIE. Check out their blog here for all the details and lots of updates on all the new products they have in stock.

Hey Ali! I'm gonna be in Portland for an educator's conference in late September! Never been to your neck of the woods.
And I must say...apple pie sounds soooooooo yummy on this rainy day in Indiana.

Yay, fish! We too had gold fish years ago that lasted for ages---then this winter, youngest daughter was asked to the winter formal by a pack of boys and several goldfish (we never did figure out the connection...she went with one of the fellas---the others were just "props" for the odd creative invitation). Sadly the poor fish didn't last more than a few days :(, this was even after I read up on the silly things online trying to figure what we were doing wrong! We didn't have a fish bowl any more so had moved them from their bags to a glass pitcher for the time being...
Hope you have better luck with your new bubbly friends!

Gonna try to make it to Art Warehouse with my girls tomorrow, got to go by St. Vincents to see my mom first, having a procedure done in the morning and staying the night. Hope to make it in. I was one of the crazy Royal's at CKUASanJose.

Ali..............fish are such a great pet to have.....children can spend hours watching them and communicating with them.Well adults do as well. They are fascinating to watch aren't they? You wonder how they can just swim around and around all day. Where do they get all that energy? I bet Simon is fascinated!

Fish are good :) Easy pet to have! We have two as well. Both over a year old, now that being said, we went through a few in a few week span, but then these two have been around forever :)

Ali, good luck with your fish! We had a free "feeder" goldfish named Blossom who lived for 4 years and was 8 inches long upon her demise. Lived in a tank on our kitchen counter. Had to get a cover for the tank when she started splashing in my morning coffee. :-) There's a whole story here... Enjoy!

Fish are fun. I wish I still had fish, but they would definitely get neglected these days, unfortunately.

Greg just got back from a week in Portland...tradeshow time in the garden industry. He gets a big kick out of the $4/all day shuttle service. He'll be back next week for another show in a long series that lasts until the end of October and takes him across country and Canada. whew! Enjoy your pie!!
