Let's see...
Tags:1. Had a really nice time in Waco - laid back and relaxed just the way I like it - a bunch of cool women open to the possibilities inherent in letting go of perfection.
2. Getting ready to head to Edmonton this weekend for Scrapfest.
3. Totally feel like I want to make something but am completely lacking the motivation to actually do it. Just in that really fun cycle of ebb and flow. I am "ebbing" right now.
4. Listening to a classic favorite by Rusted Root called Send Me On My Way (from the When I Woke album). The live version from the Evil Ways EP is really good too. Highly recommend it played really loud. Also if you use iTunes make sure you download version 7 - love the updated layout.
5. And the new Bob Dylan is good.
6. I plugged the sewing machine in today with the intention of stitching something onto something else at some point in a creative endeavor. Waiting for that "flow" to come back.
7. Loving the fact that it rained here last night and that Simon wore his frog rain coat to school this morning.
8. I love this. Too bad it can't travel with me in my carry-on.
9. I totally feel like I want to learn something new. Just not sure what it is yet.
10. Time to give Simon a bath and go read for a bit.

Ah...Rusted Root - takes me back to my college days and a ping pong table covered in beer labels. Rusted Root was my "good luck" music! Thanks for the memory sparker! (Also excellent music for dancing around the house cleaning - by yourself of course!)

This is Vicki from Hermiston. I never did get you a picture of the babies in the wedding with their onesie tux's on. I was dissapointed in the pictures, but keep telling myself that Ali would said "It is OK". I have been to Edmonton with my sister, and we went to the Worlds largest mall there. We stayed in the motel that is in the mall, and had so much fun. I hope you get a chance to visit it while you are there. If so, I hope you don't get lost like we did. I am so happy to hear how well Simon is doing. It was such a pleasure getting to see him, you and your mom when you were at the Daisy Bucket.
Have a safe trip.

Hey Ali! I was worried that you might not have a computer to use anymore! HA! Seriously, though - did you get it up and running okay?
I am SO (read:eternally grateful) glad I got to meet you and take the classes I did! I am really proud of myself for finishing something too!
Thank you for all you do - you're the best!

Have you ever been to an Aveda salon? I went to one for a facial when I was pregnant with Lily and they use beautiful essential oils in their massage - bliss.

Welcome home, Ali! I've been hanging out in the yard a lot with the pup these past couple days, I just can't get enough of that fresh rain smell out here in the woods.
I've been *uber* inspired. Love the rain!
Hey, I've been meaning to email you about your upcoming trip to JP. One of my favorite finds was the Uniball Signo white gel pen, they're only 150 yen and in EVERY stationery store (they're as popular as Starbucks in Seattle, really!) So anyway, grab a few if you get the chance - and save yourself paying more than twice as much here in the states!

I am still mourning the fact I had to miss your classes in Waco (that I signed up for the day registration opened - wah!). Trying to go through all the things in my mother's house - she lived there for 60+ years - is a nightmare. I am hoping to find some pictures and other things I can use in my art.
It is a difficult time for her and me.
I hope some day to get to take some classes with you and meet you.

Ali, just wanted to mentino that it's not necessarily a good idea to dl iTunes 7 yet, It's very buggy and has been eating significant portions of some people's libraries, as well as crashing a lot of machines :( Waiting for some patches before I grab it.

Oh, Hand Relief is the best-- I used to work for Aveda and always got it as gifts for people. Can't quite bring myself to buy it full price, though. :)

Hi Ali, the classes in Waco were their best yet. You are right about LAID Back. You seemed to pick up on the feeling very well. I was so proud of you for being such a trouper and staying for the whole midnight crop. WOW...what a long day.
Thanks Again.

how about knitting? when you are in a scrap funk it's a nice back-up to have and what your make (depending on the pattern) finishes quickly AND you have something beautiful to show for it! just an idea.

Hey Ali,
Aveda hand cream is the best! I am a bit of a nut when it comes to hand cream and lip balm and Aveda's is the best for hands (the foor cream rocks too!)and Burts Bees for lip balm.
Need something new to do? How about getting out some water colours? I think I am going to do something with that this week - I've been itching to reach in to my artistic side a bit more lately.
I will check out the recommended tunes. I just downloaded the Greys Anatomy II soundtrack from iTunes and haven't stopped listening to it since. I highly recommend it.
Take care - rest a little - and enjoy a bit of Canada this weekend.
