Let's see...
Tags:1. Had a really nice time in Waco - laid back and relaxed just the way I like it - a bunch of cool women open to the possibilities inherent in letting go of perfection.
2. Getting ready to head to Edmonton this weekend for Scrapfest.
3. Totally feel like I want to make something but am completely lacking the motivation to actually do it. Just in that really fun cycle of ebb and flow. I am "ebbing" right now.
4. Listening to a classic favorite by Rusted Root called Send Me On My Way (from the When I Woke album). The live version from the Evil Ways EP is really good too. Highly recommend it played really loud. Also if you use iTunes make sure you download version 7 - love the updated layout.
5. And the new Bob Dylan is good.
6. I plugged the sewing machine in today with the intention of stitching something onto something else at some point in a creative endeavor. Waiting for that "flow" to come back.
7. Loving the fact that it rained here last night and that Simon wore his frog rain coat to school this morning.
8. I love this. Too bad it can't travel with me in my carry-on.
9. I totally feel like I want to learn something new. Just not sure what it is yet.
10. Time to give Simon a bath and go read for a bit.

Ohmigosh... that's right! Luggage restrictions! I'd better check into what restrictions are for crossing the border in a car... hopefully a little more relaxed. Will be coming down from Toronto to play with you @ the Lasting Memories retreat in October!
;-) Can't wait!

oh my goodness.... you did not just mention Rusted Root! What a memory- dancing like a total banshee, music turned up way too loud, having soooo much fun. My When I Woke went missing and now, I'll have to find someone else's to fix my fix for a little RR. Their Pittsburgh concerts were always THE best, on New Year's Eve. Fun times. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Ali.

Hi Ali - Looking forward to scrapfest this weekend! I wasn't able to sign up for your class, but I'm hoping for an ali sighting. ;)
The weather here sucks lately, so pack long sleeve shirts (and mitts!).

Maybe you want to learn to knit...I vaguely remember you mentioning it a while back? Portable, relaxing, productive...think about it.

Rusted Root! I haven't heard that in quite a while! That was one of my favorite songs back in the day... I get so happy every time I hear it. A friend of mine back in college once said that when she got married, she wanted to walk down the aisle to "Send Me On My Way", actually, she wanted to dance her way down barefoot. Yep, she was quite a character. She definitely created quite the mental picture with that!
So glad to hear that you had fun in TX and that you're back. I totally get what you're saying about the desire to make something but not having the motivation. I've also been pondering something new... I've actually thought about jewelry making. I just can't justify taking on another expensive hobby, but I keep going back and thinking that handmade jewelry would make great Christmas gifts.
Good luck finding the something new that you want to try, have fun at Scrapfest, and I'm SOOO looking forward to your upcoming trip to the East Coast!!! Can't wait to take your classes!
