from Japan trip - a couple hours outside Tokyo
Well, it is 5am here and I am sitting in the airport watching CNN talk about the servere weather in the midwest - right where I am heading of course. One of the bummers about where we live is that I almost always have an additional connection - today I have two, including Chicago. Cool - LOL - can't wait to get there today...anyone really think I can make it through there without any delays (all said in my best sarcastic voice of course)?
To pass the time I have been checking out the inspiration in the Creating Garden on Two Peas - tons of cool holiday ideas. Here are two favorites:
since we all have tons of paper
adorable - which also reminded me I wanted to link to this awesome wreath
The theme over there this month, in addition to the cool holiday projects, is scraplifting - goes along perfectly with the idea of trying on someone else's style (AEzine challenge this week). Love seeiing that pages people chose to lift and how they each put their own spin on each project.
Also took a couple minutes to look at some of my photos from Japan that are loaded on this computer - need to get them printed. I took lots of photos of different textures - thinking of doing a mini-book just on the texture photos. They tell their own story in and of themselves.
If you are in Springfield, Illinois I hope to see you tonight or tomorrow!

I live in Bartlesville, OK (which is between Tulsa, OK and the Kansas state line) and we actually had a blizzard warning. The first time ever for this area. In one evening we received 12 - 15 inches. The ConocoPhillips office here (about 2200 employees) is closed even.

I live a little north of Chicago and we have 8 inches already and we are expecting 12+ by this evening. O'Hare is definately closed and I doubt you will be getting any where close to the city. Good luck and drink lots of coffee!

Oh man... I am sitting here -- it's 11 a.m., and there is about 15 inches of snow on the ground just northwest of Chicago (quite near the airport) already... I hope you make it in for The Scrapping Bee -- but MOSTLY I hope that your travels are safe!

Guess you will be delayed no matter what. I'm about 50 minutes from St.Louis and we are snowed in. Even my hubby's work is closed today. You'll make it there eventually. Be safe!! Peace and blessings.

I just talked to Kendra at the Bee & she said the crop tonite is a go with or w/o Ali.
She also stated her flight wasn't originally planned to get in til 5ish tonite anyway.
The goal is to get her there by classes tomorrow!
Keep checking the Bee Blog for updates!

My best thoughts are with you, Ali. I love art but do not love travel in bad weather. Your fearless optimism is a great inspiration for the rest of us; good luck in the classroom and come back to Oregon soon. xxooxxoo

well, from what I've read, you are probably going to be just a little delayed(also said in a slightly sarcastic voice) - hope you make it there safely at some point soon

Hi Ali, good luck with your travels! Funny to hear you all talk about blizzards and snow. I am living in Curaçao and sitting in by top and skirts and it is bloody hot :-) But I am going home for X-mas to Holland in a couple of weeks and have my share of cold weather! Here is a LO I scraplifted from Rachel Ludwig for the Elsie Challenge on 2 peas I am joining.

Hope you don't have too many delays and you make it safe and sound! Patti, Tammy and I are driving from St. Louis to Springfield, IL to take two classes with you tomorrow. We were a bit worried about the weather but things on this end have calmed down - although still icy. We won't leave until we know you made it and everythings still a go. We are looking forward to meeting you and participating in your class(es). Got to go - still have homework to do for your perspective class!

ACK
The pictures I'm seeing from my former hometown of STL are mind boggling!
We NEVER got that kind of weather when I was growing up in November. Yikes!
Hope you are safe and warm wherever you are and here's my take on the challenge this week.
