AEzine Challenge: one little word
Tags:From Issue Eleven of the AEzine: This week your challenge is to create something, anything, that celebrates your chosen word for 2007. Maybe a layout. Maybe a blog posting or a journal entry or a simple post-it note that you put somewhere you can see it each day. Make sure to journal about why you chose your word and what it means for you - the more you let yourself explore the more benefit you will receive in the end.
I am hoping I was able to jot all of your words down - the response has been phenomenal. Please let me know if I missed yours, of if you are adding a new one today I will catch it later on and add it onto the master list of amazing, wonderful, inspirational words.
Here you go:
Wow. I am seriously wowed by this list. By the creative and touching and tough words you chose. By your willingness to do something. So proud of each and every one of you.
As for me, I have my word (peace) up on my wall in my studio and a magnet on my fridge that reads:
My Mom also sent me a reminder of the Prayer of St. Francis today...it fits in with what I want for myself this year (and in my entire life):
I am so looking forward to seeing how you have been inspired to creatively document your word.
Happy Monday!

My word is PATIENCE. It something that I think about often (especially with three little ones with only 35 months age difference between the oldest and youngest) and this challange made we decide that I will work on PATIENCE in my life.

My word is JOY. I actually had chosen it around Christmas, and posted decorated 8" letters in green glitter to hang on my living room wall. So, here's to 2007 and a JOYFUL year. Thanks, Ali.

The Prayer of St Francis is my all time favorite. It is, I think, the best reason to be Catholic. :)
Thanks for compiling the list--it's such a cool idea!

when you posted this challenge, the word that immediately came to my mind was NURTURE: my marriage, my children, my spirituality, my creativity, my relationships...all that is ME!
Thanks for the jumpstart! I am working on a layout documenting this WORD.

I am not really one to comment on blogs - I just lurk a lot. However, I came up with my word last week and I do not think it is in the list so here it is...
POSITIVE
I am a real "glass half-empty" type of person and this year I want to change that am become more positive. My glass (of life) is really full so why am I so negative all the time? Time to change...
Have not done anything to represent the word yet, but some ideas are floating around and I have made sure that I have told a few people of my intention so hopefully I can keep working on it.
Thanks - love the list and I too will be printing it out - truly inspirational
