The AEzine...
Tags:will be coming later today. Having an issue with the email program I use and I am getting ready to get on a plane heading East - need to make a call to customer service a bit later this morning.
In the mean time, start thinking about essentials.
And, another update, the weather did not cooperate yesterday so the reception with the Governor was postponed until next week.
Happy Wednesday.

I can't believe how much I am reaching for ribbon anymore! Almost never head for my fiber supply - it's RIBBON and I love buying more RIBBON!!! I was going to say circle punches too cause I think I have them in every size possible and I reach for them all the time! LOVE my variety of stamp pads too, not just your basic black.

1. My computer and Photoshop Elements for scrapping
2. My camera (love my Canon 350D but I still have my old Canon A80 point and shoot for the times when I don't want to feel like the paparazzi - it fits in my handbag so is there if I need it)
3. My Fiskars paper trimmer - to trim my layouts to 8x8 once they are printed
4. My internet connection - without which I couldn't download my digi supplies or communicate with and be inspired by scrappers from around the world

Well, I am more of a mini book/ altered book kind of gal, so my essentials might be a bit different:
1. scraps and leftover paper, tags, whatever really (this gets me started)
2. getting stuck. I must get stuck. It allows me focus and brings out my creativity.
3. Palette knife
4. Gel Medium (thanks Ali for that one)
5. Circle punch
6. Stamps, mostly designs and a simple alphabet
7. fine black pen
8. exacto knife, mat and ruler
9. Space. I need to make a mess.
10. Letting something else go, otherwise I would never have time.
11. Google searches

Hee, pretty funny that your challenge this week is on essentials. I had to move my blog since Flickr won't let me blog photos to my old site. When I had to name my new site, I stuck to the basics :)

Love aezine! Your inspiration has seriously changed my outlook toward life in 2007. The "one word" project enhances my life - daily.
I thoroughly enjoy your blog - thank you for sharing and reminding us all to live for the moment.
On a technical note:: What brand of square punch is in your essentials stash?

Now this is not as easy at it first sounds.
I have to give it serious thought. Some tools you buy & they never see the light of day, others are barely out of your hands.
Will blog about this on Monday. Should know by then!!!

This is perfect timing for this post. Over the past two weeks I massively cleared out my stash of item I don't use and/or don't really like. I noticed myself using the same "essentials" on every layout. Here they are:
* Great photos (of course).
* Textured printed paper. Love striped patterns.
* Die Cuts with a View textured cardstock with the white core.
* Sanding block
* Photo corners (love metal)
* metal alphabets
* qoutes
* dates, date stamps
Happy Thursday!
