That is so true concerning most things in my own life. I think I will make some form of art with that last sentence to hang in my space. Thanks for pointing him out. And I've just been experimenting with not using my flash in the past week.

I love turning my flash off because the photos are so much more tangible, but I have been struggling with blur and out of focus..I only have asmall camera. I have been trying to use more of my 'imperfect pictures' and I am liking the result..thanks great link

Ali, so weird, my hubby and I are Cali people and our wedding photographer was none other than Mike Colon. He introduced my hubby and I to 'photojournalism' style pics and we have tried to copy it ever since. If you're ever in the 'burg (Roseburg) I have 300+ pics of a pretty little wedding, if I do say so my self, so stop and by and check them out. Mike is AMAZING.

you know miss ali, i came back to this post because i was surfing Open Source Photo. anyway, i remember when i first read your post about mike. i'm a photographer and have loved his stuff from the get-go. so when i saw you link to him, i shot him an email and told him that you had linked him. I told him you were one of the top names in Scrapbooking and might as well have had Oprah endorse him as far as scrapbookers are concerned! hahaha!
i had a chance to meet mike at WPPI in vegas. he's a super sweet, and super tall guy! I introduced myself to him and he giggled about the whole scrapbooking thing!
anyway, basically this comment is pointless - hahah! just thought i'd re-visit and comment since i mostly lurk here!
