Admit it.

Jumping

Jumping on the bed is really fun.

Edited: the border on his wall came from a little store in Tokyo - artist unknown

Ha! I love it! When I was little, I was not allowed to jump on the bed. Much to my mom's shagrin, she found me one day jumping on the bed and chanting "Don't jump on the bed, don't jump on the bed, Don't jump on the bed.....". I think that even as strict as she was, even she had to giggle at that! Thankfully my kiddos get the peasure of a mom that's way less strict! You are right - Jumping on the bed IS really fun! Have a great day!

I love this photo of Simon. It captures much more than him and a bed but a memory of a young boy and what it felt like to be at that age. What "little" things made him happy in his everyday. By the way he sure is a handsome little thing. I enjoy seeing all his photos.

    What an adorable pic...
    You are a cool mom....
(I have pics of my nephew literally rolling down a dirt pile with the same type of grin...instead of telling him to stop, my mom "Oma" let him go...I'll scrap it and send you a link...What a childhood memory....Simon will love this some day....)
    Thanks for sharing your life.

Did you happen to see the Oprah special last night? She built a beautiful school for a group of girls in Africa. When they let them into their new dorm rooms, some of the girls took a quick jump on the bed. Delicious, considering that many of these girls were sleeping on cold floors or sharing a bed with many others prior to this. I will never forget the simple goodness of jumping on a bed. So you go boy!!

So sweet. One of the first things my now 6 year old niece does when she comes over to spend the night is check out the guest room where she stays every time. This ALWAYS includes some jumping on the bed, and has since she was tiny. What a wonderful picture of Simon. I may have to have camera in hand for Lydia's next over-nighter.

Ha! This is one of the few areas in parenting where my husband and I disagree. I let my kids jump on the bed, but DH does not. Poor kids...mixed signals, I know. If it means that I can have 1 minute to go to the bathroom, then so be it. Pick your battles wisely! Great photo!!

Hee! My mom worked when I was young and our pastor's wife watched us...she was sooo cool, she had a special bed in an extra bedroom JUST for JUMPING on...she also had sparkly red pumps for playing Wizard of Oz, and let us splatter mud on the back wall of the parsonage (outside, of course).
Interestingly, she was also an amazing artist ;)
I totally let my daughter jump on the couch today :) Gotta get those ya-yas out somehow!

This is so cool! I just redid my son's baby room...to a new big boy room with a bed of his own. He LOVES it and they always have to jump on the bed. it's a kids life that way! No protesting unless harms in the way. No worries!~hee
TFS! Love simon's room & border so cute!

One of my favorite childhood memories is when I was about five and we would jump on an old mattress that was behind our house for hours. I only let me son jump on the bed when we stayed at hotels. No wonder he looked so forward to trips.
