Digital Quick Pages
Tags:
I have been getting some emails for more information on a new product available on the Creating Keepsakes website called Digital Quick Pages. This product is designed for people who are looking to investigate digital scrapbooking at a very beginner level.
Here's the basics:
1. On this CD are two, 20 page albums. Each page of the album is all ready to go - you simply need to resize your photos, add them onto the pre-designed pages (see the white spaces below) and upload or print at home. The original size of each page file is 12 inches x 12 inches and can be reduced to smaller sizes (such as 8 inches x 8 inches).
2. The two albums look essentially the same - one theme is "My Life" and the other theme is "Your Life" (see image below for page configuration). Journaling can be added on your computer (as a new layer using the "T" tool in Photoshop) or with a pen after printing.
3. These albums are very much about celebrating yourself or celebrating someone you love. The themes of the pages include topics such as:
• celebrate: life is good
• enjoy/play
• favorites
• be alive
• time goes by/live every moment
• work
• things I/you love to do
• family
• home
• everyday
4. This CD only contains the flattened files (no brushes, patterned papers, etc.). Just the basics for quick albums.
5. Here are what the album pages look like:
Simple, quick, fun.
Hope that answers some of the questions that have been floating around. Let me know if you have more.
I see digital scrapbooking as another way to tell our stories. Love that I can add bits and pieces to my pages or have complete things like this album ready to go. Just another option. I love options.

Sooooo very cool!!! Your page always brings me new inspiration for the day. I was even able to incorporate the "word" activity from waaaaay back into a recent teambuilder for myself and the two designers I supervise. We had so much fun and it's a great reminder each day to focus on your goals. Thanks for everything!

on my wish list is the upcoming Canon Pixma9500 printer that will do 12x12's and bigger! This sounds like a GREAT book for a beginner digi scrapper! Thanks for the info! :)

Thanks for the clarification and more info. Love that we can still journal directly on the page via Photoshop, etc. We are currently trying to "buy nothing" other than necessities for a month...but I'll be back in April to pick this up. A fun and VERY easy gift album...especially since Shutterfly.com will print 8x8 & 12x12 albums too.
Thanks again, DK

Hi Ali,
Thanks for the information - this looks just like EXACTLY what I need to begin digi-scrapping. Does your book also have instructions on how to resize photos in photoshop and add journalling etc?

Are there versions for 8.5 x 11 pages? I just won the CD this weekend at CKC-Portland and I do a lot of digi already but love, love, LOVE how simple it would be to do quick gift albums from this. I'll probably resize to 8x8 but just wanted to make sure there were no 8.5 x 11 options out there. Thanks!

I've been creating digi pages for awhile, but sometimes it's just so great to have an awesome looking page already made for you. I love my copy of Digital Quick Pages! Thanks Ali!

Hi, i love to read your blog, but i'm not a comment poster...until now. Maybe you're familiar with photojojo.com already, but if not check it out. They have a newsletter subscription that comes 2x per week. It has all kind of cool photo related ideas and just plain good stuff. Today's entry was so cool. Check the George Lange photo flip book online and see what you think. It will come up under archives. It's very inspiring (even if that is an overused word) and smile provoking. Take a look, you'll want to subscribe. If you're already a fan...maybe this will introduce others to photojojo.com
Enjoy!

Just a week ago I discovered digital scrapbooking. That is: I had already a lot of freebies to try out ... someday ... yeah, right. But just a week ago I felt it was time to really get started (I really have to thank my other DigiDiva's with whom I will be making a circle journal ... yes, digitally). So I had to practise. And its so much fun. It is just as addictive as scrapbooking with paper. Once you get the hang of it (more like learning Photoshop) it's quiet easy. It's nice to be able to dabble and keeping my hands clean.

It looks very good. I've never tried digital scrapbooking but maybe I should learn.

hey ali
that is so great! another book. but for reals...i am a SAHM for 2 girls and at the end of the day i've been turning to my computer to work on digi pages instead of pulling out all the "real" stuff. This way...I can just turn off the computer instead of cleaning up another mess. instant gratification! I'll be looking for this book in my LSS. thank you for being you!
