How about 500?
I've gotten some emails that Kevin Bacon is on the Ellen show today - it sounds like he mentions "a woman from Oregon who's son has Austism has raised more than $12000..." That is cool!
We've got eleven days left until the end of the contest (ends on March 31). We are number two right now (see the top 10 here) but I have a feeling there are going to be some big jumps in numbers here at the end. It is already starting to heat up again.
Let's make our number jump.
Remember, the contest is based on the number of people who donate vs. the total donation amount (which is certainly nice too). $10 is the minimum. Maybe chat with your co-workers, the people in your mom's group, other family members, your favorite email list - or have your spouse or significant other donate as well. Each individual donation counts (one per person). If you are outside of the US you could email a US friend or relative and ask them to donate on your behalf (you need to be a US resident to donate).
To donate, simply click the donate button on the large badge to the right.
We can totally make this happen. I would love to see us get over 500 donations today.

Ali: The support you are getting here is tremendous, but you need to get some more media regional media time to promote this. You know you have a great story. Contact your newspapers and talk radio stations in Oregon. Expand your audience by creating a buzz with local interest. Wish I could talk with you about this more directly, but you get the idea. One of our members created a badge for our organization (Family Pride Coalition) a few weeks ago, and we're glad to see that you are having as much as we are in this exciting contest. Thanks for doing this Ali! We live north of you in Seattle, and squeaked out a donation dedicated to our son, Noah, 5 years old ASD. I'm not sure everyone realizes the immense cost of therapies and biomedical interventions - but it's normal for our life and so *many* other families. Why does it have to be so many of us? Here's hoping with all my fingers crossed for a cure, Rebecca
