I love that your graphic/geometrically-oriented style carries over to your photography! Awesome photo and idea. I'm gonna whip up an impromptu fondue for me and DH tonight!
Oh where, oh where is Ali going???? Saw on Lisa's Blog that your current position will be handed over to Britney Mellen, but no mention as to your new position. We'll follow you wherever you go (or if you stay there, just know we're right there with you!)!!
Do you know what I love most about this picture? You left the dollop of chocolate on the rim of the bowl instead of cleaning it off and making it perfect. My instinct if I took the picture and noticed would have been to wipe off the chocolate. But this has SO much more character and makes it more interesting. I'm learning that the more I create ... to embrace imperfection and view it as perfect in it's own right. Lovely.
What is up with all of these strawberries lately. I'm obsessed. I could eat them all day long. Ali, I have something for you to add to your to-do list (he he): go to my bloggy and you'll see what you need to do with your farmer's market findings!
I love your guts.

ooooh---I found 3 almost ripe strawberries in my garden yesterday & just had to pick them before the slugs found them---they were so huge & wonderful (strawberries, not slugs)! Can't wait to go find more out in the fields---am surprised they're getting ripe already but I think our week of sun helped.
Now I have to stop at the field on my way to school, they have a little fruitstand there and sell them right off the field.
Yum, and we had out anual strawberry festival at school yesterday!! Happy weekend!
Ali,
I was gone all week and just caught up on your blog. Wow! Chris is awesome!! I hope other states will follow Oregon's lead. What a great thing it is for all of us families struggling with autism that you and Chris have these opportunities to impact the society. Kudos!
Also, your new banner is gorgeous - different than your usual simple style and yet so rich. I need to learn to do banners. Thanks as always for sharing so much of your talent, life and passion with me and all of us out in the blogosphere.
Susan
Ohh. Those strawberries looked so good, I made a special trip to my local farmers market yesterday. I was so disappointed when there was nothing but lettuce and green onions. My husband laughed and reminded me that we live in western washington, strawberries won't show up for at least two months. Oh well. Just had to laugh that my desire for strawberries clouded my rational mind!
