Studio A Archives
Tags:Just wanted to let you know that I updated the Studio A archives.
Also, check out the latest CK Kit of the Month: a great travel journal that you could use on the road or after you return home from an adventure. Excited to play with this one soon - look for a sample album from me (and a bunch of other scrapbookers) on the idea page of Lisa's site in the next couple of weeks (click
"see kit details" for a link to the samples). It is always cool to see everyone's interpretations of how to put the project together.
For October, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, CK invited me to design a Kit of the Month album centered on the ideas of hope and courage. We all have someone we could honor by telling their story - or by sharing our own. Look for more info on this kit coming later this month. Here's the October 2008 article from Creating Keepsakes that addresses this theme.

The travel kit looks very tempting. Thanks for the link. I may use it for our Nov vacation.

Already ordered the travel kit. I think it will be so much fun to play with! Looking forward to doing the October kit to honor my courageous daughter and her husband who, knowing their unborn daughter suffered from anencephaly, chose to carry her full term, so that we could all meet this little angel during the short time she was with us. SO, thanks for this album idea!
Have a great evening. God bless.

Ali: I remarked on another post, but wanted to be sure to do so again, here, where you reference the "stories of hope" feature. Your layout with Simon and the wings deeply touched my heart. I can only imagine the hopeful message for his future that you shared therein. It is simply one of my favorites. Thanks. Molly

Ali- Looking forward to your October kit. Since March, I have been training and raising funds for the Breast Cancer 3 Day, the 60 mile/3 day walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. This weekend, in sunny (!) Seattle, I will be putting my training (and the endurance of my feet!) to the test. Thank you for your support of worthy causes such as this. May this be the year we find a cure!

Ali, I came here to find out how Simon's first morning @ school was... then I realized the time difference (d'oh)! So... I am looking forward to hearing about that and hoping that you're able to capture that "off the bus, ringing the doorbell" face this afternoon! :->

Can't WAIT to see the October kit. BC runs in my family (both sides!), and I'd love to do some scrapping to get my feelings on it out of my head and on paper. :)

My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer last week, so I do want to see the new kit. I'm so glad Simon's first full day went well. :-)
I'm a teacher, and I never really thought about how much the parents have to trust us. Now that I'm getting closer to parenthood myself, it makes sense. :-)

I too will be waiting to see the October kit. My daughter (age 37) was diagnosed with breast cancer in mid-July, and subsequent tests have shown that it has spread to her spine; there have been further complications. She is the mother of two little girls, ages 4 and 2. We are on an emotional roller coaster, but have hope and faith that she will recover. I don't know if I will be able to write about it any time soon. Thanks for your concerns and support for this cause.
