The 2nd day...

Tags:

went great. I stayed in the window (wide open, sticking half my body out), waved to the driver, got a visual on Simon and watched how he stood up, walked to the door of the bus (loved seeing him standing there before the doors opened), stepped down the steps, and took off running toward the front door with a big smile on his face.

He rang the doorbell. I opened the door. "I home." he said.

Sigh. Love it.

Later on in the afternoon, as I worked on deducing what he did at school (no notebook set up for back + forth communication yet), we chatted just a bit about the bus and he told me that next time he wants me to come out to the bus. LOL - sounds like an opportunity for me to set the expectation (thanks Jen) that someone will always meet him outside at the bus (which totally makes sense especially here where we live with all the rain that will be coming eventually as it does every year).

Never a dull moment.
