My biggest photo struggle is when I realize "I should take a picture of this moment" and I run to get the camera, the authenticity of the moment gets lost as, for example, my daughter will give me the "cheese" smile instead of continuing what she's doing.

My biggest struggle is making sure that my digital pictures are stored in more than one place. I need to buy an external harddrive so that I have a backup and then I'd like to load them all on a website that will send cd's in case something happens with my computer and harddrive.
Thanks. Jen

I take tons of photos at special events. Since 2001 I've organized my photos by date and event. However, when I try to find certain photos I struggle to find them because of the way I have always organized my photos. I feel my current organizational system is "way outdated"! I would like to learn how to organize my photos differently. I'm four years behind scrapbooking special events and I'd like to get organized, catch up and move on to working on current photos without feeling I'm always behind and unorganized. This year my goal is to focus more on "Everyday Life". So I'd like some fresh new ideas on how to accomplish a working organizational system.

My biggest struggle is making time to get all my digital photos in good order, and easy to retrieve. Also backing them up! Yikes!

Hi Ali!
I would love to be included in the contest for Stacy's book - sounds so cool.
My biggest problem is that I get behind and don't know where to start and what to focus on. I also need help with organizing and saving in different locations to ensure my photos are safe.
Thanks!
A.

I wish I had a better way to remember what was on each cd. I tried printing contact sheets for a while but it was too much bulk and just another thing to store.

My biggest struggle with pictures is picking just a few to use on my scrapbooking instead of trying to use all of them.

Getting my 6 year old twins and 4 year old to stand still long enough to get a good photo! Getting a holiday card picture that is good enough to send out is nothing short of a miracle!
Hope you are getting some more sun. We moved from Michigan to San Diego and although we can't afford to buy a house out here - the sun is amazing.

My biggest photo problem is like many others - simply put - no organizing system and even though I tried to implement one and start with the most recent photos I did well for a while - but then that fell apart - so now I have new photos and very old ones that still need to be organized - and I'm only looking for a simple way to find photos I know I've taken.
HELP!

Current biggest struggle involves keeping on top of my digital photos: saving them onto my computer, uploading them to be developed, keeping them organized once I get them back, and knowing what step in the process I am on with which photos!

My biggest struggle is ... dusk and nighttime pictures. With my boys in school and homework we don't get to the fun part of living until the sun has gone down and so with that my good lighting. I know I need a better camera, but the one that I have isn't that old or bad.

My biggest photo struggle is wanting to scrap each and every photo. I feel like the ones that aren't scrapped go to waste.

My biggest struggle is organization as well. I have a bunch of CDs and have no idea what's on each of them, and I have so many that I don't know what to do with them or how to even think about using them. It's very overwhelming sometimes. :-)

First of all, I want to say how grateful I am to you and to Stacy J and all of the other guru's who share their lives and creativity. I am blessed and have grown so much creativly because of it.
Thank you.
Biggest struggle with pictures is the whole digital stuff. Making sure they are safe and backed up. Do you print off all of your pictures and then back them up?
Thanks again.

My biggest photo struggle is the delay on my camera. I miss a lot of great shots because it's too slow.

My biggest struggle is the balance between artistic and practical photography. For example, I love love love pictures of my kids from the back, but know in twenty years I want to see their faces. Balance is what I need!
