My biggest struggle has been organizing the large number of photos both on my computer and those that I have printed out (and accidentally printing the same photos more than once). Now I concentrate on backing up my photos (onto 2 EHDs, DVD and an online photo site) and print later. I have created an Excel spreadsheet to plan out my layouts ahead of time. I write down WHAT I want to scrapbook, the STORY that I want to tell, and design my layout. Next I look for the right photos, print them to fit my layout, and file them. Finally, when I ready to scrapbook a particular layout, I have the photo(s) that I need! It is a very detailed process, but so far it is working for me!

I share the same problems as alot of these ladies. Mostly, having trouble taking too many pictures and not having time or not wanting to delete them. I need a second hard drive just for my photos or my computer is gonna fill up any day now.

Can't wait to get this book!
My biggest photo challenge, is making sure I take photos and making sure I am in them as well. I have tons of photos, but I am in very few. It makes me sad now! I need to get better about it!!

My biggest struggle is picking out the photo that tells my story the best. I tend to put way too many photos on a page. I always use a lot of photos because I don't want to forget the special moment I'm trying to document. I think if I don't use a photo it will disappear (and sometimes it does.)

Oh boy. My biggest photo struggle is getting to a point where I get my pictures developed instead of just putting them onto my computer. I also would LOVE the new book because I need a system to organize my photos as well!! Thanks Ali, you're the best :)

I take about 300 photos each Tuesday at an Alzheimer's Respite Ministry. I post them on line for the participants' families to see what we have done during the day. My biggest problem is editing and culling this many photos to get them out to the families each Tuesday night! The participants are so anxious to see themselves in photos.

My biggest struggle is that I take tons of pictures and I have gotten behind on my scrapbooking so seeing the amount of pictures that I have overwhelmes me and then I get nothing completed.

My struggle is knowing what pics to keep on my computer & what to toss (everything is already backed up on CD's). I have over 30,000 pics on my computer!!

I struggle with wanting to keep every picture I take, even the bad ones (yeah, that'd be most of them) and the 30 pictures that are exactly like the first picture. I could use a pruning tool, I think :)
Thanks, Ali!

My biggest struggle is printing pictures from the digital card. I LOVE taking pictures, but they just seem to accumulate and I feel like I'm DROWNING in pictures! I was good when I was using film, but it seems like a digital camera just makes me lazy about actually printing a copy!
Would love Stacy's new book!!!

Hello Ali - so love your blog. You always have the best ideas. One of my biggest photo struggles is trying to decide which photos work best in which albums. I have three children, and I really don't want to have the same photos in each of their albums - but I can't figure out a system so that they have complimentry albums that aren't cookie cutter the same.
Thanks!

My biggest struggle is getting my 20 month old to co-operate with me when it comes time to capture her picture. She doesnt stand still, doesnt smile, and runs away, and says no mama, no camera. but yet I know when she turns 20 one day, she will ask why dont have I many pictures when I was a baby, and where I was smiling??!!!!

My biggest photo struggle is finding time to print, scrap, write about, and enjoy all the picture I take.
Also: Finding a balance betweeen LIVING life and documenting it is key. Sometimes the camera can get in the way of relaxing, enjoying, and truly experiencing a moment ... so knowing when to take pictures and when NOT to ... that is sometimes a struggle too. I sometimes choose to only WRITE about an experience, rather than to photograph it.
