my photo struggles are too large to list them all...basically i am a professional photographer and have four girls...i take a million pictures of them and print hardly any because I am so busy and am overwhelmed with the organizational process of it all...i have boxes and boxes and boxes of photos from my "film" days and i want them in albums soooo badly....i cant delete any of my photos because i love them all for some reason or another...i could go on and on but i am sure you get the picture *wink* :)

Thank you for the opportunity to win such a great book! My biggest struggle is getting the pictures off of my computer and onto pages. I have 3000+ pictures of my 2-year-old, and I have YET to make a single page. I guess I need to get over the fear of making a mistake and just jump in--but with 3000 pictures it is a little more than overwhelming.

I'm too darn picky. My husband is a professional photographer, so I'm used to super high quality photos, great and composition. I can't tolerate 'average' photos with a bunch of background distractions, ugly crops, etc. Basically I'm a hard core snob. But I'm working on embracing the photos my family take.

My biggest photo struggle is actually taking pictures of myself. I went to Scotland this summer and took 700 photos. I bet there were only 10 max that I was actually in. So sad.

Oh my, thank you for asking, Ali! I can't seem to throw away or delete a single photo, even if it's not so great, because it will capture a certain look or gesture that's just a little different from the next one. The result, of course, is a glut of photos that obscure the view to the photos that are truly wonderful and that tell my family's story. I need a system, but also somehow I need permission to glean.
Thanks, Launa

Taking the pictures - when I asked my daughter to pick out some pictures, she gave me 3 or 4 from her entire life...don't like my hair here, don't like that, etc., etc.

I have a few photo struggles. The biggest one is having people wanting to let me take pictures of them so that I can scrap something. The second one is actually being in the photo. I do not have very many photos of myself in them.

My biggest photo struggle is actually getting them printed! I've had my digial camera for a year and have not printed any photos-No Joke!

Using macro mode! I LOVE it, but can't quite get the focus to work right...I think it's operator error!

This book looks spectacular! I struggle both personally and professionally with my photos. Personally, I don't have a good system for printing and storing. I print photos twice and scrap them twice(!) and then have hundreds more on the computer that have never been printed or scrapped. Professionally, I teach middle school journalism and we cannot seem to get a handle on how to organize the digital photos that 30 students take daily on 4 computers, ensuring that every student in the school is shown in our yearbook. Thanks!

My struggle is in letting go of photos that aren't worth keeping. If I take a group of photos I know I don't need 150 of them. I know that the 20 best ones would be enough. But for some reason I just can't let go. What if I regret it somewhere down the line?!

My biggest photo struggle is organization. I am looking for a system that will help me get myself in order on my computer, on CDs and in albums. I just can't seem to get it together!

I need to devise a system that matches photo + journaling. So when I am ready to create a layout, everything is ready to go. I can't seem to get the two to come together in an organized way.

There are probably many as I am learning (it's my goal this year to take a class). But I am so motivated and excited about it! I think my number one challenge is getting my family to allow me to take the photos without "posing" or complaining!

I have so many digital photos that I am overwhelmed with how to set up a file naming system. I currently use Picasa which I like because I am a visual person but its getting harder to remember exactly where I've stored or grouped particular photos (could just be old age!). I know there is a better system out there but I haven't even attempted to search it out yet. Photo sorting: item 3 on my top ten list of things to get done this year.

Keeping EVERY single photo ever taken. I need to learn how to let go.

Wow. Where to start. Taking good pictures. Organizing them. Finding them when I want them. Storing them. Scrapbooking them. Remembering the details around them. Oh, so many pictures, so little time. I actually went online and looked at Stacy's book today after you mentioned it yesterday and was disappointed I had to wait until Feb. 1st. Thanks for the chance at an advance copy!

My biggest photo issue is printing photos and then just not being inspired to scrap them right away...so they sit...get all out of order and the piles begin...photo storage is just such an issue lol!
