I have been scrapping since our little girl was born. She is now 18 months. I decided to create a scrapbook that tells the story of her life. I like to journal so I can look back at pictures, read what I wrote and take myself back to that moment. They grow so fast and that I why I love to scrap.

My favorite thing right now is small albums and small pages (6x6)...not as much fussing, more done in a shorter amount of time, which seems to be the norm lately.

My love for taking photos of my 3 girls has now been matched by my love for scrapping these photos.
We all love looking at all the pages I have made and reliving the precious moments we have had together.

Hi, Ali! I've been reading your blog for almost a year now, but this is my first time to comment. Why not, huh?! I absolutely love what you do here. It's simple, clean, beautiful, and rich with love and creativity. You and your family are just darling. Onto my comment about memory keeping...
All four of my grandparents passed away around a decade ago. There are so many things I would like to ask them now that I was too young to think of when they were still around. Things about their life -- what they saw, what they did. I decided to document what I did know so I wouldn't forget. I made a page for my grandparents on each side using their old wedding photos and then did an informative page to go with it including stories about them, things I could remember about thier houses, family heritage, etc. I hope to be able to share it with my brother's kids and maybe a family of my own someday. This fun project got me thinking about the information I include in my pages. Sharing a picture, date, location, and some small journaling is good. But I have been trying to incorporate more telling information in my documenting so that there is something in writing about the people I love most. That's my favorite part of memory keeping right now. Great question!

My favorite aspect of memory keeping right now is a few things that work together:
1)taking tons of pictures from a vareity of events, 2)using mini albums as gifts,
3)working on my first acrylic album!!!!
I just came back from a family vacation and took about 50 pictures of my nephew on the beach, driving the boat, etc. I am putting together an acrylic mini album to document the time spent together. It will be part of his 2nd birthday gift.

I just bought MacJournal and I am so excited to start using it to keep all my thoughts in one place for easy retrieval. I just started taking Amy Sorenson's Write Now! class at BPS and I am loving the daily writing prompts. I look forward to growing as a writer and being able to construct quick, yet meaningful journaling for my scrapbook pages. Thanks Ali for your inspiring blog!

My fave thing about memory keeping right now, is how incredibly happy it makes me to look back through the albums and know I will never forget what happened with any given picture because the story is right there, stopped in time, so we can all enjoy those moments over and over again.

My favorite thing is when my children pull them out to show their friends, they get so excited and I get to see how much taking the extra time to tell the story helps in keeping the memory alive.

this summer has been all about my son losing and getting teeth. I am taking lots of pics. It will make a great memory!!

My favorite thing about memory keeping has got to be just remembering the little moments. My son is about to turn 2, and already I love looking back at his baby album and am surprised at how much he's changed, grown, and what I would have likely forgotton if I didn't record it.

Right now it would be the everyday moments. With 4 children there are many times a day to stop and enjoy the little things...and summertime is my favorite time of the year!!

The best part for me is keeping those memories alive through scrapbooking! I am able to open a page and I get flood with emotion back to that particular time or event,

Having a record of my family's history that I can look back on any time I want. I love being reminded of things that I'd already forgotten or using my books as a tool to find out information. Such a great resource...and I made it! :)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the stress release it provides me. I love escaping to the creative little world in the front of my house! I don't know why, but after whipping out a couple of pages I feel like a new person. Inspired and ready to help make more happy memories! :)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now (and has always been) is watching my kids (and husband too) enjoining the albums I've made... And it gives me so much satisfaction to complete a layout, I can't even describe it (but you know the feeling...).

Right now, I just want to be able to see and remember pictures of the everyday things and to have fun putting it all down on paper so that my grandchildren can see what my life was like "way back when!"

In just the past 3 months I have organized 12+ years of photos and started doing some scrapbooking for my favorite photos. The best parts (I have 3) are really knowing where all my old pictures are...safe and secure, creating something that I know my kids will enjoy now and in the future and it is also giving me a creative outlet that I had really been looking for. It is good in so many ways!!

My favorite thing about memory keeping is being able to show family images and stories they didn't even know we had. I have been working on a book that showcases my great-great grand father's story--my grandmother had a trunk full of great memorabilia that no one had really seen because of how awkward and in inaccessible the pictures and information was. So I have been scanning like a made woman and doing hybrid-digital pages since April and this weekend I was able to show them what I had created!

As my girls creep towards 6 I am amazed by how quickly time passes- Its seems like yesterday they were born - without those documented scrapbook memories so much would have been lost - Its a blur.

My favorite part of memory keeping is the whole creative process. I've found that the more "into" it I become, the more that creativity flows into other parts of my life and I become energized by it. And I even find that the organizing is creative and energizing too.
So, basically, everything about the art of scrapbooking. I think I should have been more specific.
