Thanks, Ali!
My favorite thing right now is journaling the small everyday things that would otherwise be so easily forgotten.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is keeping all the little every day moments alive. Too quickly those funny phrases and silly things we all do are long forgotten. The pic doesn't have to be of the memory, just an opportunity to share the memory.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now, is looking through my old scrapbooks. It always makes me realize that my focus should continue on just getting the memories in there, that product, techinque, the "perfect" publishable page, are not what it is all about at all. As I glance through my books, I usually enjoy the pictures themselves and the journaling the best. And there are some pages that my hands itch to redo (some very plain, or very ugly, etc pages) but I won't let myself. I try to enjoy seeing how I have grown as a scrapbooker. I try to sit down and just enjoy the process when I scrapbook now. Ok, off to scrapbook now, Thanks for your inspiration! Jenn S.

I scrapbook for me. I don't have children, but still want to enjoy old family photos, memories of my life and travels, etc. I hope that someday one of nieces or nephews will want the things I've created.

My two favorite things about memory keeping is
a) having my son want me to get out the scrapbooks and read all the journaling to him and look at the pictures.
b) making a conscience effort to memory keep also makes me very grateful for the people I love.

The BEST thing about memory keeping is being able to tell my family how I really feel about them. Somehow when life is going on around me, I have a hard time letting my true feelings out. When I'm writing a memory or looking at a picture, it seems to flow better. I LOVE that!!

My favorite thing to record right now is the cute/funny/philosophical things my kids say - started a little late but trying to go back and remember things too.

Hi Ali,
There are a lot of changes going on for me and my life right now. Good changes that come from growing and learning more about yourself. Finding artistic ways to journal about things going on and how I feel about them (and the fantastic people in my life) is really important to me. It helps me to see where I've come from, where I am now, and where I'm going towards. I've just started "capturing moments" with my camera, and it's making all the difference. I'm loving it!

Hi Ali~
I would have to say that my favorite thing about memory keeping is the fact that I am documenting daily and special events in order to pass them along to the next generations when I am gone. I am all to cognizant of the passing of life because our first child and only son passed away two weeks after he was born in 2000. I have a scrapbook for him, that is not only therapeutic for me to work on, but also records his life and ongoing memorabilia. If I find something that reminds me of Caleb (like angels or something given to me in memory of him), then I take a picture of it and scrapbook it. It keeps him close to me. Since losing Caleb, I am more aware of life's fragility and I want my daughter to have a record of her childhood to remember our family when we are gone. Hopefully she can share it with her future children and continue the process of documenting her precious life. Thank YOU for your ongoing inspiration and *real* look into your personal family life with your husband and sweet Simon. You are so talented and genuine...

my favourite thing about memory keeping right now is journalling and the whole idea around how not only events, the what happened, who was there, who said what etc gets recorded, but most importantly, that emotions and thoughts could be documented, captured in time and space on paper!

My grandmother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease so I'm feeling expecially grateful that I spent a week with her last summer going through old family photos and learning the stories of her past. I would never have taken the time to do so were it not for scrapbooking and my desire to tell not only my story, but the stories of my family. Hopefully the scrapbooks I have made for her will serve as a touchstone and allow her to remain in contact with her memories for as long as possible.

Wow - I am mesmerized by the give-away Ali! After my dad was diagnosed with cancer this spring, it's been more important than ever to document the relationships he shares with his four grandchildren, my kids. From their special names for each other (lil buddy) to their fishing dates and guys' multigenerational camping weekends: I don't want my kids to ever forget this very special man and the time that they were able to spend in his prescence, feeling his love.
Thanks for making me articulate what I've been feeling lately!

I think the best thing about memory keeping is that I am leaving tangible evidence of the love I feel for the important people in my life.

Great thing about memory keeping is that you're able to express yourself in a way that you may not be able to otherwise. TFS!

My favorite thing is keeping track of the little things, like funny comments my husband makes. If I don't write about them, I will definitely forget them.
Thanks for all the inspiration, Ali!
