I am in to simplifying my process and actually getting the memories recorded and in my albums with basic cardstock, words, and maybe a couple of simple decor.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is that it helps others see a particular event or even a random day through my eyes instead of just their own.

I think the best thing about memory keeping is that I am leaving tangible evidence of the love I feel for the important people in my life.

Dear Ali!
I've always loved photos - but keeping memories became even more important after my dad died 8 years ago, when I was 22.
I love to create keepsakes, that will last even when somebody goes...
But even more about things that are fun or memorable like holidays abroad!
Wishing you a nice week!
lovely greetings from Germany

My favorite thing is sharing the memories that only I have in my head. Even if my husband and/or entire family was there with me, there are a lot of things as Mom that I know and need to share that no one else does. Details etc. Loving that I'm finally *doing* something with that, though I have a long way to go to be doing it consistently. Thanks for the giveaway!

I am really trying to focus on the "words" part by keeping a notebook to write down all of the funny things my boys say. I am so happy to have those memories even without accompanying photos.

Simply to love and to cherish. And most of all to pass on and pay it forward...

I think the endless possibilities. There is more awareness about scrapbooking than ever, more products, more people creating amazing things and putting stuff out there! I got interested in this hobby more than five years ago and I'm always drawn in by the creativity that continues to thrive.

I'm reinterpreting the question a little bit, but my favorite thing about memory keeping is that it helps me recognize the most valuable parts of life. Scrapbooking does not create meaning, but it helps me remember what is meaningful. It has also led me to gather all manner of family stories that would have otherwise been lost. And I think the rest of my family is finally coming to recognize why I enjoy scrapbooking -- it is not, fundamentally, about the beautiful papers, embellishments, etc. (although that's a wonderful perk!) -- it's about people and their lives, their stories.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the sweetness of each moment. Whether I happen to have a camera with me, a scrap of paper or just my senses. Just being in the moment.

My life is so busy and it often fells like I'm just puting out fires. I enjoy being able to look back and enjoy the mess, rather than how long it took me to clean up.

The best thing right now for me is that I have actually been finding time to scrap. Most of all I have been enjoying the process of looking back on my photos and being reminded of that moment in time and reflecting (Now if only I could get into journaling regularly-that'd be a thought). It has also been a time to connect with some of my scrapping friends that I haven't seen in awhile.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that it is helping our autistic son to communicate the story process. We can open one of our vacation albums, then help him to tell the story of what we were doing in the pictures, or what we saw. Its a great experience for our whole family, and its helps my son to work on his skills.
