I like that I can use stuff either bought specifically for or found in my house to accent a meaningful picture. It is like reading a great novel with lots and lots of pictures of the people I love.

My favorite thing right now, and has been forever, is quotes, and fonts. Since I have such a bad memory, I need to write quotes down. Now, if I ever get them organized, it would be fabulous.

My favorite part of memory keeping has always been the idea of passing on my own story. Letting others get a glimpse into the essence of me that they don't usually see. Contemplating my own thoughts, feelings and beliefs and documenting them. Now, I'm preserving them for my daughter who was born May 23 at 25 weeks and 6 days gestation. She's still in the hospital and is such a trooper. My new favorite part is preserving memories of her incredible life, showing her journey and hopefully, leaving her a glimpse into her life that only a mommy can provide.

I really enjoy three distinct aspects of scrapbooking - the creation and my artistic process ( I shudder a bit as I own that as I was always the nonartistic child who "couldn't draw a straight line" ), the connection with my friends and with other memory keepers, and the stories. My children often pull out scrapbooks to look at - this is probably the big payoff!
Peace, Susan.

Taking time to just be in the moment and to cherish the simple things is making memories for me right now and then if I can to write down things that seem so un-important but when you look back at it means soo much. for example how my daughter felt and her comments while she was getting nitrous at the dentist it was so sweet and REAL. my favorite thing right now has been spending time thinking about how i am going to scrapbook differently after having not made any pages for a while after having baby #4. i need a different process as i spend way too much time thinking and perfecting and not enough capturing the little things i too quickly forget.

Favorite part? not forgetting. Slammed with the news about a friend passing away has fueled me, even more than usual, to make sure i document those close to me, just in case.

My favorite thing about memory keeping is realizing that memories don't have to be decades old to be memories. Last year's pictures of my girl make me realize that memories are made every day. I miss yesterday's couchsitting while watching a show together already!

My favorite thing about memory keeping is seeing other family members look and read over my projects - because it usually sparks up a conversation about their own memories too.

Hi Ali, my favourite thing about memory keeping is recording these precious moments for my family to look back on for years to come. My little one is changing and growing oh so fast and it is so nice to have a record of all of the changes, new developments and new little sayings that he frequently displays! Thanks for the awesome blog too!

Memory Keeping provides a pleasant distraction for me and the resulting projects bring my mother positive energy while she recuperates from an illness.

Ok, so no chance of winning since i'm number one billion but my favorite thing about preserving memories is that my kids can now know what i was thinking and feeling about my life at certain points.
i don't want to lose that.
alone time is a gift for me too that'm also not willing to give up. it's a win-win.

I love being able to go back in time to be reminded of things I have forgotten. It is amazing to me how quickly we forget the little details.

right now my favorite thing about memory keeping is the smile that comes up on my face as I look at the layouts I have finished and the memories that they contain and the other memories that each layout sparks.
