My favorite thing right now is keeping up with the funny expressions my youngest uses daily. He has a unique way of stating things, and generally is very, very literal. I don't want to forget his phrases and expressions that I am sure will slip away as he gets older.

Right now I'm enjoying going through old photo albums of my (now 18 year old) son and scrapbooking the best of them. Every page is a new surprise. Thanks for the chance to win!

The best thing about recording my memories is that my daughters will know what their childhoods were like. My parents barely even took photographs of me growing up (much less wrote down what I did during those years), and I always wonder what things were like then. By scrapbooking our memories, I hope my children never have to wonder.

My favorite thing about memory keeping, as a teenager, is knowing my future children will be able to know what this time in my life was life & I will never forget it.

my favorite thing right now is making an effort to capture one little slice of each day of the summer for each of my three boys. it makes me smile to think of what i am going to do with a photo a day from the summer of 2008.

My favorite thing is how working to keep memories makes me focus on my family more. I don't just notice my daughter's quirk of being able to whistle through her nose, I make notes about it. I photograph with more purpose...yes, there are the back to school shots (Today!), but there are also the ones where I catch a favorite facial expression, or the ones I take so they'll know what makes me happy. It helps me stress about the mess a little bit less, and to enjoy my family for the individuals they are.

Ali,
for me the best thing about memory keeping is going back in the past with photos. I can't get enough to see my little boy, and discover again and again all the little details of his existence.
That's my first process to scrapbook and i think i'll enjoy this forever.
(sorry for the mistakes i'm french)

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is that it's all about PRESERVING THE MEMORIES AS THEY HAPPEN, HOW THEY HAPPEN and not too long after they happen. Otherwise, I forget...I seem to forget a lot of things...the little details of life...and that scares me. So, I am trying to just get it DOWN and WRITTEN and DOCUMENTED and my BOYS just LOVE it!
And YOU inspire me to do this!

My favourite thing is simply enjoying the process and not overthinking every decision. I keep thinking that I'm not (working at) scrapping much, then I notice all those pages piling up!

Yeah! Love a giveaway! Right now I am loving free summer time to be able to work on some long overlooked projects that are calling to me from the depths of my plastic storage containers.

My favorite thing right now is using my big square punch so I can get lots of people on a layout!
Not very nostalgic, but true. :)

Hi Ali, my favourite thing about memory keeping is recording these precious moments for my family to look back on for years to come. My little one is changing and growing oh so fast and it is so nice to have a record of all of the changes, new developments and new little sayings that he frequently displays! Thanks for the awesome blog too!

Every week on the phone, grandma asks, "What is the funny story from this week?".
I love documenting those because they are so numerous that I can't remember them all unless i write them down.

I am SO VERY grateful for scrapbooking. My favorite thing about it for me right now (and probabaly always will be) is the love I am sending to the future. I feel very strong about this - that even if I am not on this earth all either of my children have to do is pick up a scrapbook and they will know how much their mom loved them. They will be able to read the journaling of the memories we shared that I am not able to tell them. This belief is so strong for me at this point in my life because I spent a month in a Trauma Center and the medical opinion in the beginning was that I would not live. I remember one very lonely night thinking to myself...the kids will at least have their scrapbooks. You can't imagine the peace that brought me.

The word "Now" is the key to my scrapbooking at this very moment. For the past two months, I have experieced a few events that makes me realized the importance of my family, my friends and my life. I want to record and enjoy "Now", so my family and I will never forget.

right now it's being more aware of what's happening, the small things and the big events..even if I don't document it or take a photo.

Hi Ali:
My favorite part of memory keeping at this point in time is the photography. I love trying to capture those candid moments, which to me make for the best layouts.
