man with the string of luck I have had lately I could use something fun.
With a disabled child our lives have always been challenging, when he was young we were told to take a lot of pictures.... well one day there has got to be a place to put them. that is my favorite thing about memory keeping, a place to keep them. To share them and to show the love. This was impressed upon me recently when my daughter had what could have been a VERY serious accident, she is still recovering and on complete bed rest, so we are loving be able to share memories of the fun things we have done and looking forward to being able to make some new ones.

well, here goes, even though I'm never picked :( My fav thing is really seeing the growth in my techniques and how i start venturing out of the box more and more. I went from only 12x12 to having 4 different size books i'm working on now! Nothing is more important than preserving our memories, we may lose them one day.

My favorite thing is remembering all the fun times, and everyday times that our family has experienced. Simply being together. Right now--that is what is important, and that is what my memory keeping is all about. Being together, and experiencing life.

What a trip it is to realize that my daughter's love for animals came from me as almost every one of my childhood photos has me holding a cat, dog, crayfish, chicken, etc.
Realizing that my husbands habit of sleeping with one leg on top of the covers is repeated with my daughter is so cool!
Eating fresh produce from our garden and remembering from my grandma's garden eating more peas than we saved for supper are wonderful memories.
I am loving discovering connections between the generations!

I love being able to go back and read some memories and bring that feeling all back...the happiness (even the sadness) I felt at that moment. Truly priceless.
And I could keep some serious memories with this kit - it's gorgeous!! :)

My fave thing about memory keeping right now is knowing that my story will be told - all the parts of me and my life that make me who I am will be captured, so that I can reflect and enjoy, and so others can know who I was.
Love the kit btw... Colleen

My favorite thing right now about scrapbooking is the finished page. It makes me so proud to see it all "come together".

oh my - 1,484 comments preceding me - so many lovely thoughts about memory keeping! right now I am loving the words + photos...trying to take lots of pictures (so I have at least one or two that I love) and writing down everything...with age has come a complete inability to remember anything I don't write down!

Well, I think right now it is looking back at photos of the kiddos in 2003. I've been just puting them into photo albums and will go back and scrap the ones that actually move me to scrap. Right now just getting them where my now 7 & 9 year old can touch, see, remember is most important.

I am really enjoying documenting my infant daughter's growth and development. It is so neat to look back at pics from even a couple of months ago and see the changes. I make sure to record all of the special things: her quirks, cute habits, nicknames, and her relationships with those who love her. It is really special to capture these things.

My favorite thing is feeling like an artist. Some paint, some draw, some play music, I record life.

for me....memory keeping makes me a better mom... i pay attention to the details more, and i make time to document and pay attention, rather than just let the details and fun slip by. i pay closer attention to what my child is doing, feeling and being. for this i am SO, SO thankful -- so thankful that i began scrapping before my son was born.

For me the best part of memory keeping is knowing I'll have captured little bits of my family's life that we can share in the future.

My favorite thing right now is taking lots of pictures and journaling about the everyday stuff. I really enjoy trying to capture the ordinary moments of each day and making notes about the little, but important, tidbits of our lives.

Did you expect to get so many comments Ali? It'll take you forever to read all these!! LOL... I'm sure there's not one thing I could mention that hasn't been said before me, but just know that without scrapbooking, I would never have met such great friends. My life would be so empty without them!

My favorite thing about keeping memories is actually the therapy of what I go through with the process of keeping the memories preserved. That, and sharing it with others.

Memory keeping has always been more about stories than photographs for me. As a kid, I loved going to my grandma's house and getting down the photo album that was all about me. But I loved more the stories that my grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles would tell while sitting around the dinner table. Now that my dad's gone, I know how important it is for me to record memories, feelings, and impressions for my daughter. Things she may not think of asking me until I'm gone. I want to leave for her all the words I wish I'd had my dad record for me.
