My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is taking chances. I am designing scrapbook pages and I like them!!
It's been fun to get back into scrapbooking and not be afraid to do my own thing instead of always taking classes.

My favorite thing about recording my memories is the art. Yes I love telling the stories of my children, but what I really love is having a way to express my creativity!

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the fact that manufacturers and books are concentrating on the important things. Birthdays, graduations, and events are always important - but the everyday stuff is important too, and was often overlooked in the past. Now there are so many products to concentrate on everyday things, memories that you want to keep that are not necessarily "special" events. It's also nice to see people scrapping the not so happy moments of our lives. Life isn't always perfect, and sometimes those not so perfect moments are defining moments with important memories.
I also love the fact that there are so many online resources and sources of inspiration. Anytime there's a block in what I want to work on, I can go to my favorite websites (yours is at the TOP Ali!) to get some ideas, or even just some encouragement. People are so positive and that positive attitude is contagious, I love it!

I know you talk about this all the time, but my favorite part of memory keeping right now is capturing those every day moments. Living in the moment and being able to capture just a glimpse of it for my kids is awesome.

I love documenting our lives mostly because I love reading back over what we were going through, worrying about, celebrating, etc at any given time. I really like that.

my favorite things about being the "keeper of the stories" lately is looking back at snippets of a vacation or event and recalling a detail that was recorded that I would NOT have remembered had it not been documented with words....also love when my nieces and nephews save me bits of ephemera for my scrapbooks (including tags from new clothing, pretty cards and gift tags they receive, confetti from a party. they get it!)

My favorite memory keeping activity right now is to take photos of my two kids (6 yrs & 20 mos) with my new Canon Rebel Xti.
In June my favorite memory keeping activity was putting together an Everyday Life photobook for my hubby for Father's Day. I had so much fun taking photos and putting it all together. Hope you make more photobook templates soon!

Wow, there are 1600+ over comments already. I don't think I'll have a chance anyway.
My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is my current family. I'm going to get married soon and I won't be staying with my parents anymore. I'll really miss them everyday I think. Looking back on the photos;journals I've kept, I just feel that there are more things I can do to improve myself or do better as a daughter and as a person.

My favorite thing about memory keeping right now is the journaling. I'm not a great writer so I don't do much of it, however, I'm more inclined to right now...

Hmmmm...My favorite thing about memory keeping right now? I have two little girls who deserve to have their history recorded for them, for their future, while I can still remember the details. And they also deserve to know about all of the wonderful people in their lives - grandparents, their mommy and daddy, etc. - all the memories that I have in my head need to be recorded, so that history can live on. I guess that is what is inspiring me right now. My girls.

Hi Ali,
Great blog!
I identify very much with your Todd Henry qoute - I choose to do the small things I must with great care, which means spending time with my son, daughter and dog, doing our daily routins, scraping small pieces about everyday little joys (cleaning the yard together, my doughter (4)horsing around with her dad before he gets into his suit in the morning. Those are just the perfect little moments that make our day, so why wait for a big event?

My memories help me see my own life from a different perspective and make me stop and think about things that happen, big and small. They make me very thankful!

What I like at the moment is that it is NOT just the photo that tells the story/journey/memory it is everything you put on the page.... the souvenirs , the words, the poems, hand prints.... and of course all of the yummy embellishments out there... a feast for your eyes.
