Hi Ali,
My current favorite mini book is themed "Think [RED]"-- I used all types of family pictures to fit words that have [red] in them (ex. cheered, shared, inspired, dared) as well as some of my favorite belongings that happen to be red (ex. car, laptop, cell phone, coca cola). I loved working on it because it was both artistic and a clever play on words. Have a great week!!

a mini book i want to create, and have been stashing photos for, is a gift for my parents. for their 25th (in a few years) wedding anniversary, i want to make a mini book with a photo from each year of their marriage, and some journaling from myself and my two brothers (from after they were born). as they were married when i turned 10, i'll be able to share memories from the whole way.

For Valentine's Day, I made a mini-book for my DH telling him how he has helped to make so many of my girlhood dreams come true.

Thanks Ali!!
I have a few favorites..an "I Love You" book for each of my kids, with photos from right now and journaling about them now. Then I created a "story book" about how my son (who does a dead on monkey face - and EVERYONE knows it) got in trouble in school for doing it...and how I proceeded to where my monkey t-shirt at school and basketball games...I even found a blinged out monkey tattoo that I wore one time...that is now on the back cover of the book.
So fun.

I am working on a mini book that will be updated monthly to remember my daughters Senior year of HS and my sons last year of Middle school. This is a big year for us and I want to force myself to take more pictures.

Congrats on your new book! My favorite mini book is one I made featuring close-up details of our new deco job we did in our new house! It's very stylish and a little abstract. I love how it focuses in on the details, not wide shots of rooms or the whole house.

My hands down favorite mini book project is my Halloween book. It's a mini album that I pre-decorated and each year I add a couple of photos of our trip to the pumpkin patch and Halloween night to complete one two page spread. By the time my kids are two old to celebrate Halloween we'll have a record of all of our fun costumes and traditions.

My favorite mini-book ideas revolve around everyday life. I have done several for my nieces as I have no children. I generally do a new-baby one with handprints and sweet sentiments. Then as they get older i do more "snapshot" type photos and capture who they are right then, at that wonderful, curious, ambitious age.
Which reminds me... gotta start another one.

We're moving to our first home with my boyfriend. So I'm going to create a mini book about decorating it and about our favourite things around the house.

to date, my favorite has been the advent mini album, where I tried to just have a photo/bit of journaling, for each of the days leading up to Christmas. I kept it simple, but love how it recorded this special time of year.

Wow, am I excited that this book is finally shipping!!!! I have been waiting and waiting. I love mini's!! The next one that I have in mind is an ongoing mini called 'This makes me so happy', and then everytime something really cool happens to me or something just ordinary sends that all over good feeling through me I will make a mini page about it. I've already pulled all the paper and embellishments for it, going to start it real soon.

My favorite is the 25 days of Christmas book I did last year. I did a page a day, just simple. Sometimes they had pictures sometimes not. It was awesome. I keep looking at it thinking, wow this journal was so worth it.
I didn't prescribe to any specific size although the 3-ring binder I used was 8x8. So I was able to make my pages fit with the day, sometimes small sometimes large, some fold out, some with several pages. It was awesome.

I'll probably do it again this year. I loved it. It was liberating and my most creative stuff. :)

My favorite mini book so far is my little Target business card holder that I whipped up to carry with me when I travel. It has 2x3 holders that I tucked printed out digi pages into. It is bright green, tiny and has a groovy brown elastic that keeps it closed. I got the great idea from some smart scrapper somewhere out there in blog land.

I love the "Evolution" mini book that I started this summer. It's all about the things I am learning and how I am growing. I am using recycled catalog pages, and I love how it's turning out!
