I'm working on a beach album right now. It's the one that spells out "beach" and i'm really excited to work on it after our first trip to the outer banks.

I am planning on working on a "cousins" mini-book to display on a shelf I recently altered for my kitchen. The four cousins (my 2 kids and my brother's 2) have all been born within the last 3 years, so we have lots of fun memories already to document!

If I had to pic one mini book I guess it would be the last one I did. It is a acrylic book. Probly the most challenging one to date also. It is with pictures of my cocker spaniel puppy.

My favorite mini-book was one I created for my Mom several years ago as a thank you for all the love she put into Christmas for our family. I went around her house and took photos of all her Christmas decorations, then put them in a little book so that she would have a record of her handiwork, and remember where she put everything for next year. She loved it and kept it in her purse for months to show all of her friends.

I'm currently working on a mini book about vacations my husband, daughter and I have taken together. Sorting out the photographs I wanted to use was like reliving all those wonderful times again-- so many fabulous moments captured, and the memories came flooding back. A walk on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon, being surrounded by hundreds of tiny, jewel-coloured butterflies in a tropical rainforest, miles and miles of road being swallowed beneath the wheels of our car, an ever-changing view through the windows outside. I love the thought that I can have all of that at my fingertips in a book I can pick up and look through at any time. :)
Thanks for the chance to win your newest book. I have all your others, and they are an amazing resource and constant inspiration. :)

I looking forward to reading your new book as I have just gotten out of the hospital and are looking for ideas to scrap all the things I collected to tell the story of my illness.

I so want this book! I have Life Artist and reading it now and it is so inspiring, I can't even imagine what this one will be like! My favorite mini-book is the latest one I made about my oldest son's recent birthday. I am sure my next 'favorite' will be my second son's upcoming birthday ... lol!

My favorite mini book I made for my mother several years ago, about the "soulmate" relationship she has with my son (now 14). I live near London now, but my mother is still in California (where I grew up), so we don't get to see her as often as we would like. My mini book is really more of a story book about a grandmother and her grandson, I suppose. It begins..... "Although I live in England (which is very far away), I love you and I think about you every single day!"
Sadly, my mother, who is only 79, is slowly losing her sight, so I might have to rejig this into a "maxi" book, so she will still be able to see it.
Ali, thanks for being so generous with your time with your Q's & A's!

My favorite mini book was definitely my "Christmas Memories 2006". Christmas is my favorite holiday and I like to get started the day after Thanksgiving. I captured some of our usual traditions like baking cookies as well as new Christmas events we went to that year.

I'm looking at making two mini-books in the near future--one about my daughter's obsession with the Olympic mascots and another to commemorate a nice getting-to-know-you car ride with some folks on a the way to a memorial (that sounds weird, I know, but the startling fragility of life really made an impact as I got to know these folks).

I'm looking forward to reading your new book!
When my son was in kindegarten, the teacher asked us to write a love letter for our child and share it with the class for the Valentine's Day party. I wrote a poem for him. My favorite mini-book has the lines of the poem on different pages along with favorite pictures of him. He loved it and keeps it in his room.
