The mini book I am doing next is for my two children from me. This past year I was in the hospital for a month and they were with my family as the doctors came out and told them to prepare to say goodbye that I would not live past the transport. One can only imagine the trauma these precious people (she is 14 & he is 11)experienced- so I am working on a book and intend to have the running theme of LIFE and the blessing of it.

Hi there . have finally discovered rss feed so now I get all your bloggy goodness whenever it's up ! Hooray! Congrats on the baby, and the new book. My fav mini album is an ongoing project, which is super hard for an ultra chronological girl like me, and inspired by you, is my planes trains and automobiles album- pics I take from said planes trains and automobiles. Love the shots and I love the odd perspective of cities from above! thanks for the inspiration over the years.

I have NEVER completed a mini book...ideas float around in the cerebral mass, trying to find a pathway...however, an idea that is so in the front of the pack is one of my father and his siblings. We leave for Denmark this Friday (9 of us altogether) and will have a chance to see many, if not all, our Danish family members. Let's call it the "Hansen Heritage Handbook." Name it to claim it, right?

My very favorite one is about our family trip to Hawaii - it's my sons favorite also. Needless to say it is showing how much it is loved.

I am currently making 2 first year of life baby albums for my cousin (for a boy) & my sister (for a girl) who are expecting in November. I use an 8x8 album and label each page your first picture, your first week etc. all the way through first birthday. I have a paper mat down and it is all decorated so all they have to do is glue down their picture and add the date. I have made 3 others and the moms alway appreciate them. Plus it uses up those 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 mat stacks that I had to buy in every color! Would love to win a book!

I do a mini album every year of the really funny stories that only have one picture...the ones I usually don't put into my regular scrapbook. It's called "Family Story Time". I want my kids to remember the funny/silly things that we all do.

I made a mini book for my husband with goofy pictures of him with each of our four children and famous family stories - like the time when Jack was 2 and was sick in church, he looked down and said "What a mess." We found at least one funny, family lore kind of story for each family member. My husband keeps the book at work.
Hi, Ali! Peace, Susan.

What great timing! Last night I was taking a walk by the lake with my boyfriend and we realized how lucky we feel to live in our city (Toronto). He takes amazing photographs...so, my plan is to make a mini-book capturing all of my favourite places in the city and talking about what great memories they hold for me. Essentially the same type of book that you create for a vacation but never think about creating for your home.

I cannot wait for this new book! I have so many "to do" topics for mini albums, one of them being an acrylic Las Vegas album documenting a recent trip! I am looking forward to the inspiration! Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy!

WOW! Ali mentions a giveaway and look what happens!
I have many mini's in the planning stages, but one of my all time faves is my very first one, COLORFUL YOU (from Stacy J's class). I love how simple and easy it was to create and how much delight it brings to my kids!

I made a staralbum for my father's birthday last year from a trip he did with some nephews and my little brother a year earlier.
First I gave him a card with the same paper the album was with a photo of a NY-policecar on it. Then he wondered how I got that photo... Then I gave him the dvd with all the photos they took in NY *LOL*
And then I gave the album and he was in shock!! He just loved it and every familymember who visited had to see the album.
And still.... he gets it and takes a look in it. So beautifull to see him cherishing the photos (and album...)

I've only made one mini book - it was a gift for my boyfriend-at-the-time-now-husband before I left to teach in Mexico for 2 months after college. He had made one for me for graduation and for me to take along with me.
I want to make a few this fall. Two that stand out - one is a mini made out of all the postcards my best friend has sent me; the second is for my sister before she heads out of the country for a year. Something small for her to take around as she travels.

I'm in the process of taking pictures for a mini album entitled "pieces of our home". The photos include close up shots of our art, furniture, fabric, etc. My goal is not to make an album of the "things" in our home, but to capture the essence of our home through color, shapes and angles. I've been anxiously awaiting the release of your new book.
