My favorite mini-book is called Simple Pleasures. I put it together not long after my grandmother died, as a way to lift my spirits and remind me of all the good things in life (including good memories). It's mostly words, with a few favorite pictures, of all the simple pleasures in life. Freshly picked peaches, a fresh-brewed cup of coffee, the smell of lavender, the feeling of the warm soft hands of my kids hands, memories of Sunday dinners with my grandparents ... simple, wonderful stuff like that. :)

We have customers stalking the store for your new book! Can't wait to see it!
I think my favorite book is one about our travels that is in the old Chatterbox suitcase album and is based on a class you thought with four photos on one page and then a bunch of bullet points on the other. I really like reviewing trips we have been on...I expect to go back and add our "trip down the aisle" to the beginning.

I currently have 2 mini-books in the works, these are my first mini-books ever! I typically stay in the 12 x 12 album arena, and I feel scared to leave my comfort zone. However I have had 2 opportunities arise where a mini-book was called for. The first one, which is currently in the works, is for my brothers upcoming wedding. My mom wanted to pull all the silly pictures we had of him growing up and put them on a poster board as a gift to his new in-laws. I felt like this project was screaming for a mini-book! A poster board with pictures glued on it didn’t feel much like a keepsake to me and this seemed like something that should be kept. I am about 25% of the way finished with it and I am loving the experience so far. It is coming out better than I expected and I can’t wait for his new family to see my brothers story.
The 2nd mini-book is inspired by something I saw on your blog. I saw the clear acrylic “simon” album you had displayed on here. I decided this would be a perfect album for my dad. I have a great story to tell and one of the custom word albums seemed like a perfect choice.
I think I see more mini-books in my future. Thanks Ali!

Hi Ali,
This new book looks awesome ~ I would love a chance to win!
Right now my favorite mini is the one I just finished about our summer adventures. It's a handpainted canvas journal with our top ten summer adventures in it. It's so popular around here the kids are already wearing it out.
Thanks for the inspiration ~ Kim

I'm working on a summer "recap" album which is always fun because the pages are all so different. Capturing all of the crazy things we do is fun.
My fav is a father's day book a few years ago. I did the assembly, but my daughter did all of the journaling. She put a piece of acetate over a photo and drew a moustache/tattoo/black teeth on him. It just cracks her up! Totally suits both of their personalities.

I have not done a mini book yet but I have purchased all the goods to start one! i have chipboard and a crop-a-dile and loads of pics and paper, etc. I plan to make a mini books for each of the grandparents for the holidays this year - it's so hard to find perfect gifts for them and something homeade seems to touch them the most.

Hi Ali
The next minibook I want to make is about our dog Louie...we had to have him put down earlier this year (got him from a shelter when I was 12 and I just turned 31)...he was a gorgeous crazy dog with so much character & attitude and I miss him lots...can't wait to capture all this in the pages of a minibook :)

My favorite mini I created was a little book about all of the places my husband and I traveled to before our son was born in 2007.
I have a couple ideas for some new books - a Disney one (we go to Disneyland all the time) and a book about my BFF who survived through college and nursing school with me. I have the ideas, I just don't have the time make them!

My favorite (probably because it's about the only thing I've ever done about myself) is a super-tiny mini book entitled My 5 Tiny Favorites. It's on five chipboard 1 inch circles encased in a small chipboard pillbox. Love mini-books!
