I made a mini-album last year for my family for Christmas. My parents sent me money to by gifts for my boys, but instead of buying toys I bought gift cards to different outings (movies, hockey game, restaurant, bowling, and a "ticket" for a new sled and a sledding adventure). I placed all these cards in an album, which I later added pictures of these outings.

My favorite mini-album is one I made when my son turned 2. It is so sweet with his little face filling the pages.

I just taught a class at my church and we did a mini album with the theme "A week in the life..." I did of and artist for my 5 year old son and he did a picture a day using different mediums! And for my almost 2 year old daughter, I did a week of zzzzzzz's and took a picture of her sleeping each night! Nothing cuter than a sleeping child!

My favorite mini book is the one I created for my twin sons. They participated in a Special Olympics track meet with their school. Along with the track meet they also took part in bowling tournaments. They both are on the Autism spectrum, and to see them having a good time and participating in the events was a very proud moment for me!

My son and I just came back from our first road trip to Jasper National Park, in Alberta, Canada. He experienced many firsts including swimming in a glacial lake, seeing black bears, a weasel, big horn sheep and mountain goats all in the backyard of the cabin we were staying at. I managed to take some shots of him taking part in various activities and plan on making a mini-book to document our time together. (He is only two). Congrats on the little one!

My favorite mini book is one I made for a friend's birthday this year. It had little envelope pages to hold gift cards for all the things I would have done with her if she lived in town. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of your new book - I have all the others and can't wait to get a copy of this one, too.

My favorite mini-album is one I made for my first child (of 3 children -- the other two had no such albums). It chronicled his little life through "snapshots" of him, month by month for the first couple of years following his adoption. It was very simple, but definitely a favorite of all three of our children to look at.

I'm working on a mini book project for my 18mth old daughter - My idea is to take close up shots of body parts, and label them into a 4x4 album for her. I've just finished a kaisercraft/acrylic album of a fun trip to a new park with the kids a couple of weeks ago... I can see them becoming addictive, if I don't make the project too big and give myself stage fright ~lol~

I really enjoyed making a mini book (about my home) which I started during Elizabeth Dillow's class at Valley Forge at the beginning of August. During that class I could also meet Stacy Julian. She was also making that mini book;)
Now I am making a project about my friends who are in Poland and who I miss a lot. I moved to USA recently because I married an American.

I love mini-books! They seem to be the only projects that get done these days! Right now, I have two faves - the Christmas Journal I did with you in December and the tag book I did with Cathy Z in March!

I am very much looking forward to your new book! I make a lot of minis...more so than scrapping regular 12 x 12 pages. My next one is to RE-DO my son's school years book and another one for a wedding gift. Congratulations on another great publication!

Ali,
My favorite mini is the one I am working on right now. I have been taking tons of pictures of my boyfriend's nephews this summer.
I am making the mini for my boyfriend's mom because she is always doing so much for us and then she'll have a little album she can take with her to show off her grandsons where ever she goes.
It is going to be a great surprise. I can't wait until it's complete and I can give it to her.
Thanks for all the great inspiration. And congrats on the new baby news! That's so exciting.

My favorite mini-books are the ones I make for my family, especially my son's great-grandmother in Germany who has never met him. She loves receiving them and it is a small way to keep us connected.
