mini books are still a mystery to me -- but I did put together an "on the road' kit for an upcoming trip to play with my granddaughter!

Wowzers look at all the comments!
I got SO much out of your last book, and it inspires me still, every time I open it. So I'm really looking forward to this new one!
My favorite mini book I've done is the camping one, of a summer camping trip our family took, I used round coasters (like you'd get at Red Robin, etc.) and covered them in fun papers, punched holes in them, used book binder rings, and voila. There's my mini book.
Love it!

My fave mini-book was one I made for my Aunt's 60th bday. She loved it so much, she began to cry, and then I did too!
I think she liked it!

I just love the idea of having a basket full of minibooks sitting on my coffee table for people to look through. The problem is, I struggle with ideas and then struggle with design concepts. I really need your book to make my fantasy come true!

comment below and let me know about your favorite minibook project or about one you are planning to create.
My favorite minibook project was of my two kitties who are literally my daughters (I'm not extreme) but their personalities are totally different from one another and that was displayed in the minibook.
I plan to create a minibook in the future simply about the questions I have about life, my own personhood, and on various issues.
Sharing Your Story sounds so good and would be helpful I can tell in documenting "life". ;)

Mini book of my daugher's favorite clothes - called a week of dresses. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I'm going to be sad when she's outgrows these and I'll be so glad that I have this book to look back on.

One of my favorite projects was one I just completed for my husband...it was "10 things you do that make me happy", and my purpose was to highlight the little things he does that I notice but might not verbalize every day. I used the acrylic album that was in the pack from the CK Portland "favorite things" class. I added pieces of this and that to make it really unique and special. He has it displayed on a shelf in his workspace.
Another favorite was one I made more than three years ago highlighting a "day out with thomas" event we went to in Hood River. Both of my kids still love to "read" it! I love that my scrapbooking projects are proof of our stories and experiences, in a creative and tangible way.
Your new book is tops on my wish list!

My fave mini album (that is becoming much larger than that soon if we continue at the current rate!) is called "Places we Play" which has sections highlighting the parks and friend's homes and other places we like to play here in Edmonton. I made it last year at a crop but it's an "add as you go" book. Heidi

My family was formed through adoption and my favorite mini-books are the ones that I made for them as infants that tell their birthstory. They are more like storybooks but now that they are older they still pull them out any time they want to hear their birthstories.
Who doesn't want to hear their own?

I did a mini book for my parents' 60th anniversary using quotes and pictures of them from dating until the present. My Mom loves to look at it and show people in the nursing home where they are now.

My favorite mini-book is one I did while on vacation to Michigan & Colorado - inspired by your traveling mini-book of course! (Was it to Denmark or something?) I loved being able to make most of that scrapbook while actually on our trip.

I can't wait to read the new book!
I also can't wait to do my next mini book project. I'm planning on making one detailing my bachelorette trip to Denver to see 3 of my bridesmaids. Gotta wait until after the honeymoon though! Off to Chicago in the morning -- which would make for another GREAT mini book project!

We "borrowed" {stole-ish) my friend's garden gnome and took him on a recent trip. We photographed him everywhere we went...it was SO fun. Everyone (including the friends we stayed with and folks we met along the way) got into it suggesting places to take his photo. We plan on returning him with a little suitcase filled with souvenirs and a mini book filled with photos of his adventures :)

I love making mini books and have been even more inspired from reading your blog. For Christmas I am going to make my niece and nephew a mini book about their mom she died when they were both very young and they didn't get to know her very well. I am hoping the pictures along with the journaling will let them see another side of their mom. It will be a journey for me too to go through that process. Thanks for being my inspiration.
