I made a mini book of each of my sons' birth/hospital stay/first visitors. I made the pages while I was pregnant, so it was easy to just put pictures on & have a finished little scrapbook soon after they were born.

I have a project in mind- still working on it in my head. You inspired me to check out the junk mail & do not always use the same page size.
So I have been saving all my envelopes. Ones from bills I pay & not use the envelope provided, ones from junk mail, from the bank when they send me cash back even some that were addressed to us.
Now I want to use these to make mini-books. The possiblities are endless and the envelopes are pilling up. I could use this book for help & more inspiration.

I love to do our summer holiday highlights mini book style. We just have so much and a fun mini book just does the trick. This year I even premade one and I can just stick the photos right in.

It's hard to pick a favorite mini book because I've been really happy with the ones I've created lately. I think right now my favorite is the one where I used Lisa Bearnson's vacation KOTM scrapbook kit, and I used it to document my son's first trip to an amusement park. I feel like it is really focused and creates a cohesive story with design, photos, and words.

I have done many minibooks and still love the satisfaction of finishing one. My fave one has to be our "Favorites" book. A top ten list on each page for each one of our 4 kids, my husband and I, with a photo to go with each item. It was fun to write up the lists with the kids and it is still their favorite minibook to look at. I can't wait to get my hands on your new book.

I just finished a mini book for my two granddaughters, "Nana's Book of Wisdom". I really enjoyed making the book, but I think the most fun was trying to condense my 49 years of life experience into 10 things that I thought were the most important to pass on to them. It was a thoughtful, soul-searching process and I enjoyed it immensely!

I never win anything and I couldn't wait, so I went ahead and ordered the book. Jill, send it soon!!! Can't wait to get it! I mostly make mini books as it is hard to say everything I want to in just a couple of layouts. My favourite are of the last few family holidays. I love to use different size pages with lots of transparent ones thrown in the mix. The crazier, the better!

I have so many favorite mini albums.
I hardly ever work on large albums.
My very favorite was a tribute album about my father-in-law. He passed away last year suddenly and my mother-in-law was really struggling, as would be expected, with his passing. So I compiled pictures of him from his childhood, them dating, early married life, him as a father, a naturalist, writer, and then grandfather. I even included the poem he wrote to her when he asked her to marry him.
She was so touched and loved it so much, she carries it, since it is compact, in her purse and shares it with her friends.
That is so cool.
Thanks for letting me share...
~~Nik

What a great giveaway! I have lots of favorite mini books. They're my favorite scrapbooks to make! I made one a few months back with a Cosmo Cricket blackboard album as a brag book of my son's year of preschool. He *loves* looking through it and thinks it is so neat that I made a book just about him! I also have another book that I made about my daugher ~ "Things I Love About You". It's not so much the book that I love as the journaling about her inside.
Thanks so much!! I hope I win :)

Well how sweet of your friend! I'd LOVE to win your book about mini books! :) I'm leaving a link to MY favorite mini....an album I made for my children about my own childhood. Most of my childhood photos and all of my yearbooks were lost when our basement flooded (yeah, I know, NEVER store your photos in the basement!), so I rescued what I could and made this book for my kids. Thanks so much for the giveaway! :)
