Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off my wedding pictures. I picked up a really cool album about 3 1/2 years ago but have yet to put one layout in it.

I have several mini-book ideas that I have been putting off, just kind of throwing things into piles of what I want to include. I would love to get my hands on those clear albums. I bet I could turn all my piles of ideas into albums really quickly with those.

Too many to name! One of which is my own wedding album. I wanted to it done so I can have all the pictures taken (or at least the nice ones) included in the album and that is alot of pictures. And then there is the part about wanting to use the "perfect" products for the layouts. 2 kids and 11 years later my wedding album is still in the "planning" stage. lol.

I have a set of photos from my mom from a concert we went to together. She brought her camera and I forgot mine (which bummed me out). The photos are not my usual style, but I really want to put something together for her to share the fantastic time we spent together.

It's the Hawaii album! Our trip was in January, for Pete's sake! And I've only completed maybe a third of the book. No reason that I can think of. Sheesh! I've gotta get cracking! Oh, wait. . . are those cute little transparent albums. . . .?

I am all over the mini albums and have recently done a couple clear ones. I find they add a bit more challenge to the whole experience and I like that!!! They present so many more options to displaying pictures and challenge you when it comes to the layouts. I love the compactness of mini albums and how you can tell a whole story in one book and not have to have a ton of pictures. Thanks for this great giveaway and all your creativity!!!

I have been putting off making a mini album of "Frazier Family Fun Nights" - as my daughter calls them. Following in the foot steps of other mommy bloggers, we have been stepping up family night. A theme, craft, food, maybe a movie. It has meant so much to me to live in those moments and not just take pictures. I guess I am afraid that if I start scrapping those, I might fall back into the mommy who takes pictures instead of the mommy who plays. I think a mini album would hit the highlights and the kids would love it.

The project that I just cannot seem to start is creating school albums for my 3 children. What is crazy is that I am really excited to make them but feel tons of pressure knowing they will be looked at more than any other album I have created. I cannot get past the need for them to be perfect. I need to take the plunge don't I??!!

I have been putting off scrapbooking in general. I am just coming out of the first trimester haze and hope in the next few weeks the mojo and energy will return, as will scrapping! I want to complete a summer album and make a Halloween album that we can add to each year!

I started recipe books for my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and myself this past Christmas - and I still don't have them done! Most of my problem is that my ink jet printer broke down and I haven't made the decision about what to replace it with.

Ironically, one of the projects I have put off is an acrylic album -- I just don't know how to attack it but really want to try it. the other is my Christmas photos from last year. I get all weird when I scrap a big event because I put too much pressure on my self that it has to be fabulous -- silly right??? I am much better at the every day stuff!

I've been putting off my Disney album. I was gung-ho about the title pages, then went into a slump. Used your idea to use the 12x12 page inserts with 4x6 pockets - got each park main pages and journaling done using these. Now I just have individual activities to do and the most difficult part for me is finding just the right product.
Thanks for the give aways - these are awesome!

I love clear albums and find it hard to find them here in New Brunswick, Canada. I always have to request my LSS to bring in the one I want to use. I have been putting off my daughters thierd birthday album trying to find the perfect one...the mixed up album is so her now at age three...so much going on in her little creative life.

I've been putting off a clear scalloped album just like one of these because I wasn't sure what to do with it. But I always love all the projects you have featured with transparent albums.

I think this is my biggest hurdle. I put things off cause i'm too scared to dive in on something new or huge. I want to get all my husbands AirForce stuff together in one album. Taking a lot of inspiration from your "anatomy of an album." Bought the American Crafts Album, Sheet Protectors, Photo pocket pages, etc. I just have to tackle this job while i'm young before it gets TOO big ! :)
