Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I've been putting off doing a scrapbook/journal about my daughter's time in the hospital. She was born prematurely, and had to spend a month in the intensive care nursery. I have lots of photos and memories, and notes, from that time. However, I still tend to get a bit weepy when I look at all those photos and remember leaving my baby at the hospital every night to drive home. I know I will some day have the strength and energy to create this very special album and do it justice for my precious daughter!

My automatic thought was our wedding photos. It's been 11 years, I pretty much think that's the definition of procrastination! Before they can be scrapped, they need some Photoshop TLC, and reprinting...so I've put it off b/c of that. A little more labor intensive than I have time for w/ two boys underfoot these days! Thanks for the chance at another giveaway. Have a blessed day! Toni in Missouri

I have been hesitant to begin scrapping my photos from our trip to Phoenix in April. They are all printed, organized and ready to go but the task seems a little overwhelming. I did buy some 12x12 page protectors that hold six photos so some pictures will go in those. I also kept a nice daily journal in one of those little moleskin notebooks during the trip so I could remember all the good stuff I want to record. Now I just need to take the leap and start scrapping! Thanks for all your wonderful ideas! Your column is my favorite part of CK magazine.

I have a Donna Downey "Fabric of my Life" album I started last September. I got about 3/4 of it done before we started building our house. I packed it safely away thinking I would complete it soon. Did you notice I said LAST September?!?! We have finally moved; now I just need to find it so I can finish it!!

Oh Ali, this is a great question. I have b putting off doing my daughters dance pictures. Why you ask, because she is not a ballet girl she is a tap dancer & they are very few products out there for anything else but ballet. Have been trying to figure out what to use. Paper is easy enough just matching costumes but the 1000's of pcures is yet another thorn. Quite overwhelming. Better decide soon though the 8th year of dance has allready started. Great books would love to try those for a mini of some sort. ansk bunches for all the inspiration. Kathy

I have been putting off my best friends pregnancy album off for her entire pregnancy she is due Novemeber. I really want to make her one with blanks for photos and journalling. I am on the otherside of the world to her and am sad that i am missing out on being there for her for her pregnancy, and really have to get a move on if it is going to beat the baby.

I confess that I start mini-books and then don't finish them! I have about 5 going right now that are not done. I tend to work on something and then I get tired of it...so I work on something else and then I go back to my collection of not done mini-books. I have a goal to finish my 5 pending mini-books!

I have been putting off starting my oldest son's album. He is 32. LOL! The off color and far distance photos are so hard to scrap- I think. Any ideas to get me a jump start?

I have been putting off a summer 08 album, simply because I don't want summer to end. How sad is that.

I meant to say also that I have been on pictures from a trip around the Cabot trail last fall in Cape Breton Nova Scotia. Fall is my favorite season because I love the colors that our leaves get and the nice crisp air. The only thing I don't like about fall is what follows!!! Heather Again

I've been putting off a "not old enough for school yet" layout for my 2 1/2 year old son. He wants to go to school just like his older brother. I haven't done it yet due to organizational problems and feeling overwhelmed. That, and the fact that I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant....and tired! Thanks for the chance for this COOL giveaway! Erin :)

I LOVE ClearScraps! Did you know you can run them through the embossing folders from Cuttlebug without cracking the acrylic? SO cool! I've been putting off all my albums lately to catch up on/finish projects from events. Want to get to my latest Alaskan vacation photos soon.

I have been putting off completing my daughter's preschool abc album. Mainly because it was a full year school project and when school ended in June, our lives just got busier. Now that she entered kindergarten I shouldn't delay any longer.

I was in Italy last year with eight great friends. I made travel journals for everyone that I passed out on our first day in Tuscany; a 6X9 scrapped card for each day of our trip. Theirs are done and despite my 2,000 photos, mine sits unfinished.

I have been putting off the continuation of my daughter's scrapbook. I finished one year and felt such a feeling of satisfaction for getting that far that delving into another year is intimidating!

My children's newborn pictures - the ones with the backdrop where they are being held by their father's strong hands. So many emotions attached to these pictures - I want to capture that and more :-)
Blessings, Vicki
