Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We took a once in a lifetime trip to Galcier with my whole family last summer. I have 1400 photos - every one of which is GORGEOUS! I don't even know how to start and how to capture the beauty and the size of the park.

Wow...a moment of celebration. In my scrapping, currently, I'm tackling exactly the projects I think I need to be tackling. As to my house...that's a different matter!

Well, I would think the list would be much shorter of projects I haven't been putting off! LOL! My to do list is so very long...but one that always comes to mind is assembling an album of my son's once a month photos during his 1st year. (He is now 2 months shy of six!) *blush!*

I've been putting off doing a family tree album. We have most of the photos ready to go, but I'm afraid I'll mess it up in some way.

The question is what haven't I been putting off, the list would be much shorter! My daughter started preschool last year and I haven't started that album. I have a million Christmas projects for this year that I wanted to have at least started by now. Love these clear albums!

I want to do an album for a weekend camping trip that resulted in an engagement to my wonderful boyfriend. I'm not sure where to begin - choosing papers, cropping photos, telling the story. Getting engaged is so exciting and thrilling and I want this mini book to be everything and more. I'm afraid of letting myself down.

I am having trouble making time to scrap in general. I want to make a christmas scrapbook with pictures we take in front of the tree every year to show how much we have changed. Time is just not my friend at the moment.

I've been putting off working on an album about me. I don't like photos of myself and it's hard to share a lot, knowing all that I've been through and realizing that when I'm gone, it will be "out there."

I have been putting off the job of sorting and scanning a large box of slide reels from my childhood. That,in turn, forces me to put off the fun projects brewing in my mind that require my childhood pictures. Those clear albums would be perfect!

Hi Ali,
On May 11, 2008 (Mother's Day) we added an eight year old girl from China to our family!
I have so many beautiful memories and photos of our 2 1/2 weeks in China (our 12 year old son went with us), but have been unable to get started on documenting our incredible journey.
Kate, our new daughter, loves pouring over the albums of our family pre-Kate, especially the album I have for Alex when he was a baby. So I've been focusing on doing some mini-albums of activities we've done since her arrival. It seems silly, but maybe she finds it reassuring to see the effort? Some permanance? Any one of these acrylic albums would be perfect for my "we're a new family of four" mini albums.
Thanks for all you share!

I have been putting off my little projects. I find it harder to set aside photos of all one kind and sit and do a project that is finished. I can't seem to find the end of a project. On layouts I have a birthday or a specific purpose, but I have a hard time putting it into a mini album.
Thanks for the chance to win - I love acrylic albums:)

I've been putting off going through the photos from our recent trip to Italy. I'm not sure what I want to do with all of them yet and there's so many of them that I'm totally overwhelmed.

My sister's wedding album, she's new to scrapping and I wanted to be able to help her have the album she wanted... but I think I'm so nervous that it won't be perfect that it just sits there (a year and a half later) These are copies of the pics, so I shouldn't be so worried...but it just seems overwhelming.
That and my kids school years albums (KOTM) love that everything is already there all coordinating and organized for you... but b/c they are already 9 and 4 it seems like a bigger project to go backwards. I have a hard time going backwards. ?? Not a good thing in scrapbooking...
LOVE the clear albums, thank for another great give-a-way!

I have been putting off a mini book of a recent trip to Australia. I think mostly because I'm having a hard time with the idea of journaling about a trip that was so awe inspiring, but disappointing at the same time. It's complicated - and all the more important to do, but I just can't seem to make myself. :)

Hello Ali,
I started an online workshop to make a minibook about the year 2008. Each month 1 layout. For some reason I never got any further than January. I have not been scrapbooking for more than 5 months. Somewhere I lost inspiration. Perhaps too busy with decoration our house and busy with the kids. Hope to start scrapbooking soon!
How are you? Growing steadily?
Blessings from overseas,
Inge

I have been putting off completing my 7 month old twins birth layout. I guess the reason I've been putting it off is because I have SO MANY ideas about how to do it and the story I want to tell, I get a little overwhelmed at the thought of it all.

I LOVE the clear albums! I have been putting off my wedding album. We got married 11 days after my mom died from cancer (14 years ago). Our wedding was put together so quickly in hopes my mom would make it, so we didn't have a photographer. I do have wedding photos, but no album. I would love to do something for my children.

I've been putting off a page that I want to do for my son's album about my grandma who recently passed away. I want him to be able to see the pictures of himself with her even though he will never remember her - it's just a harder page because of the depth of the subject and journaling!

I've been putting off making albums for my kids about my Dad. He died in March and I wanted to make albums for them with photos that included each child with his/her grandfather...and special memories of their times together. I have the photos and the albums ready to go and just can't bring myself to put them together. Maybe it's because I am not yet ready to deal with it all. I was there with him when he died, just the two of us and I still can't imagine our lives without him.

I keep putting off an album about living in Boulder last summer. I had such a great time that I'm afraid i won't do it justice! These look like fun ones!
