Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Hooray! I love these albums too!
I have been putting off working on my book of me.. I really want to change that though, since a scrapping friend was recently killed in a car accident. I don't want my kids to have nothing to remember ME by!

I love all the albums. Would love to win one. Thanks for the chance.
I haven't been able to start on my son's (who's just started 2nd grade) school album. I have Becky Higgins School kit, but my head goes blank everytime I sit down to work on school pages. I don't know if I want all the pages/grades to have a simlar look or if I want them to have a unique look and feel. Would LOVE some advise :)

What project have I been putting off... hmmm... can I say ALL of them?
Most recently though, I have all my favorite summer vacation pictures printed and ready to go - and they are still in the envelope - waiting...
sigh. Maybe I just need a nice album to get inspired!

Good Morning Ali
I have been putting off working on Christmas projects (involves some photo books, homemade quilts and homemade bags). Usually I am 75% done at this point, but it has been hectic & crazy and now starting to feel the crunch.
3 Months to go!!! and I truly love xmas.

Unpacking my stuff! I recently moved into a family member's condo and just haven't been motivated to get my supplies out of storage because I haven't felt creative and been down overall. I'm sure I'll get through my funk eventually but for now, all my stuff is patiently waiting in a storage locker a few blocks away!

I have been putting off my wedding album for 8 years - my daughter is 3 and I am current on her, but I can't seem to make myself go back to do my wedding - mainly because the only pictures I have cost $1500 and are sitting in a fancy leather album in a drawer somewhere...I should just rip it up and go for it!

I've been putting off a "Me" mini book because I focus on capturing my family's story {two boys+husband} first. I do want to photo journal about just me so that they can read that version too. Something to ponder as I prepare for my scrap weekend?!

I am putting off finishing an album of a visist with my granddaughters for a dance recital...I keep getting "sad" because I am not involved in their day to day life...we live so far away and only get to visit once or twice a year.

I'm a foster mom, and I've been putting off making an album of all children we've parented over the past 6 years. I've taken these lovely photographs, and I've written down memories about each child, but I just can't seem to make myself put it all together into a cohesive, well-designed album. Right now the photos are in a slip-in album, and the notes are in a file folder.

I have been putting off scrapping my dad. He passed away 3 years ago, and it is still to hard to start the project.

I have been putting off doing our wedding album. Right now I am focusing just on our 2 kids + family stuff. I feel like that is just opening Pandora's box!

Well, I guess you can call it putting it off. 13 years of putting off my wedding album. I just love the photos so much and I am afraid of messing them up AND I don't want it to be cutesy or too boxy?!?!? Any suggestions? Have a great day!

There are lots of projects I've put off...Time is the biggest factor. I want them to be just right - I have them done in my mind and to get them to the finish takes time. My mom's bday book, and my trip with my sisters and mom last year. I'll get to them, it's just a matter of when! now with the holidays and all the "fun" stuff to do...it'll be 2009 I'm sure! Thanks for the chance....I love these guys!

I have been putting off starting my son's school album (he's in 2nd grade now!) because I'm paralyzed trying to decide how I would like the format to look now and several years from now when he's older.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I love all your work and I have been thinking about trying an acrylic album. I have several mini albums in mind, but just haven't gotten them done. I think I just feel like there is always something more urgent that needs to be done like laundry, dishes, dinner. If I could just get my family to wear the same thing all week and eat pb&j on paper plates each night I might get some scrapping done! lol!

I am so close to finishing a mini-album I am working on of me and my husband. The only thing I have left to do are the chipboard covers, but I'm finding that I don't have much time (between work and school, it gets busy) and I'm still trying to think of how I'm going to do the covers . . . part of my quest for perfection, I suppose.

I have been putting off doing my childhood albums because there is SO much stuff that I feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Love these acrylic albums, haven't tried them yet, but have always wanted to.

Those are amazing. I love them! I've been putting off scrapping about my Grandmother's death. I did one page in her memory but it just hurts too much.
