Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

This giveaway is awesome! I love acrylics. My husband's Katy Trail Ride is the one I have been putting off because he took the pictures and he is not in them. I guess I will need to just start in.

I have been putting off finishing up some albums (mostly just need journaling). Also, though my oldest is 11, I need to go back and journal some stuff about his baby-hood. Not sure why I've been putting it off -- it's always easier to be inspired by starting something new rather than FINISHING something, I guess!
Thanks for the great blog and inspiration!

I have been putting off starting my disney album. We go to Disneyland a few times a year and I have tons of pictures and stories. I have the vision in my mind, tons of supplies, and an album all ready to go. I just need to sit down and get started.
Thanks for the chance to win these cool albums.

First, I want to say that I love the idea of adhearing photos to the acrylic albums with paint! I can't wait to try it! Who would have thunk it!
Secondly, I have been putting off starting my daughters school album, I have had a creative block lately and am waiting for my MOJO to come back. It went for a short walk and never came back. Have you seen it?

I visited NYC during the summer of 2005. I have yet to finish that scrapbook because other scrapbooks have a higher priority/deadline (i.e., wedding scrapbooks for friends, scrapbooks as gifts, etc.). Perhaps I should put a deadline on myself! :)

I havea lot of great vacation photos for our big trip this summer, plus all the brochures, receipts, and fun stuff. I think I'm short on time and sort of "stuck." Plus with all the cute Fall & Christmas stuff coming out, I feel pressured to get my Christmas album gifts going! YIKES!

I love these clear albums although I have yet to try one out.
Currently I am putting off all projects until I get a little mojo back. I do have an album I would like to make though of my & my hubby's old school pictures. I thought that would be cool for our daughter to look at. Not sure how I want to approach it yet though!

I have been putting off materinty layouts for my last baby. He really is the last one, and it makes me sad to think about never again being pregnant, feeling little kicks and bumps, nursing, milky kisses and all of the sweet joy babies bring.

Hi Ali! I have been putting of my wedding album... I think it's the pressure of scrapping such an important event and wanted to get it just right. I know I just need to jump in and let go of the need for perfection, right ;) Thanks for doing this giveaway! -Sharyn

I have been putting off a Thanksgiving banner that I started right before the holiday last year! I actually just came across it doing a purge, and am totally re-inspired to finish it in time for this years festivities.

i think the project that i have been putting off the most would be an album of my dad. he passed away in 2000 and it has just been too difficult to start. however, this past weekend, i did do a couple pages of him, so that is a start. i have just hesitated stirring up all that emotion, but feel that it is time to get going~
thanks for the GREAT giveaway!!

I have been putting off doing a vacation album for our trip to Alaska - five years ago now. I started out with good intentions, planning to do a bit of journaling each during the trip and by day 2 or 3 carried the journal EVERYwhere and forgot to write down ANYthing. I recently put that huge box of pictures (hundreds of them!) right near my workspace to remind me to work on it - and now I've learned that I don't have to scrap every single picture and every single word. Also, thank you Ali, I have recently discovered divided page protectors. My parents are in town now; since they have been spending the last several summers in Alaska Mom is pretty good at identifying what I can't, so that is a help as well. See that? This project is getting less daunting all the time. Perhaps I just needed to talk it out...

Ive been putting off my wedding pictures and my son's baby album...mostly becuase I feel overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done to make both of those albums both cohesive and also how much story there is to tell with each of them...I get emotional and then I lose my focus and then I'm done.

I love your album! I have been putting off scrapbooking all together because of not knowing exactly where to start.... I look at lots of inspirational ideas everyday. I just need to get in there & try it. I keep buying all these great supplies but I have put off beginning... I guess mainly b/c of time issues & for fear of my projects not being as pefect as all of the beautiful inspirational pieces I see everyday. I am getting closer...I just setup my own scrap deak area & my goal is to create beautiful things asap!!

I started out real eager with a mini-album of a holiday we took in 2007, but then got side tracked by other projects that needed to be done for friends. Now I cannot seem to get back into it.

I've been putting off making a recipe binder - similar to what Cathy Zielske made here:
http://cathyzielske.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/09/if-you-like-foo.html
I was so excited to find the same binder and get crackin but the thought of organizing all those recipes makes my head spin. Oh, and the fact that we're in the middle of a kitchen reno so I know even if I finished it right away, I'd have nowhere to put it =(
